only time you should actually flush is if you run into issues that you would need to flush soil/medium.
if you water correctly there is really no need to flush , since you cut back nutes in final week thats good enough...thats only if you follow a correct watering schedule. feed/ feed/ just water

Well flushing is debatable to say the least lol. Flushing one to two weeks before the actual harvest is said to flush out the excess nutes that have accumulated in the plant, making for a better smoke. Is it true, dont know lol. By the time I flush (not sure why but seems logical lol) the plant (1 week before harvest) has typically stopped doing a whole lot of growing. I run a flood and drain as well so there is no 3rd week of no nutes. But basically you are flushing if your not adding nutes on the 3rd week as you say, this is to flush excess nute from soil correct? Again its a highly debatable subject as you will see if you search the term. If you feel better by flushing then do it. But dont start to early IMO as your final take will surely suffer.

About 7 weeks into flowering.
I know she isnt ready for harvest quite yet. I do prefer an 'uppity' high rather than a 'couch lock' buzz, she is still much too young to cut right now.

best is to harvest when all of them are cloudy, with No clear trichomes.

and a few amber is ok.

i wouldn't stop feeding til she is almost ready to chop..then you can flush for a couple watering's... when you know all trichomes are cloudy with no clear ones. ;)

Do you think I should keep feeding her until I leave and then stop nutes and switch to just ph water lime?

then you will need to get a pocket scope or loup to see trichomes better with.

since she started a bit late on flowering she may finish later too ... just depends on trichomes and if buds look like they are still growing...then no reason to chop.

i feed right til last week...soon as trichomes are all cloudy and the buds stop filling out(developing new hairs), that's when you can just give water...for remaining week.

There is no debate. There is just un-educated growers.
Have you smoked herb that is completely flushed of chemicals?
If you smoke herb that is harsh on the throat, tastes like shit, burns poorly, has black heavy ash, snaps and sparks as it burns then you are smoking garbage un flushed weed period.
We have not only done side by side comparison grows regarding flushing; we have also done multiple controlled flush comparison tests using mg, carbs, clearing solutions, RO water vs city filtered water, vs plants fed till chop.
If you could see the results in person it would blow your mind.
Like I said there is no debate; just un educated growers and smokers.

I've been following this from the beginning and very, very good stuff OP!! I hope this grow turns out the best for you, especially with the time constraints.

About the flushing ; if you're just using tap water to grow, with average PH levels, Ca, etc.. do you need to do this ? Or only if you use store bought nutrients etc that you used ?

I have done side by side testing actually but only once and honestly could not see a difference but only one strain and I use a vapourizor. In saying that I still do it. And nummy I'm not sure what the reccomended flush is for soil, I flush for a week. I think, again, there will be a lot of differing opinions lol. Post some more pics?? You will probably see the difference once they start to get cloudy if they havn't yet, I struggled with that as well. I to pick early but not as much for the high but I'm running out lol.

Oppps all most forgot lol. If flushing I dont think its necessary to PH the water (but may be way wrong again lol). Your not concerned about nute uptake at that point so PH becomes a mute point, I think lol.

In my short experience...lol...I have found that my girls will almost double in bud size the last 2 weeks or so, and when they are done the calyxes will be "really" swollen, the pistils/stigmas/lil hairs...lol...will be 70-80% reddish/brown, my leaves will start turning yellow "quickly" and it almost seems like she won't drink any more water...yes I have a loupe but those are other signs I've noticed near the end of cycle...good luck nummy

I agree to a point...I have done a side by side, and still have some of the "experiment" left (good shit BTW...lol) and some of it is still in cure, both flushed and unflushed, and I find that the longer it cures (going on 3 months now) the more they taste the same, not quite, but almost...and the high IMO is better from the one I didn't flush...NOTE: I do run organics and not chemicals...

to me she looks like she can go a little longer than... almost.
plus you need to account more time for proper dry/cure too lol

btw...how was that sample you pinched from her? ...i don't think we got a smoke report :-P
