Until they pop up they really don't need light yet - just some warmth n moisture...when they first pop out of the surface you really don't need a lot of light for several days, but should provide more as they start to get larger...everyone told me to just rock CFL's for the first several days after they sprouted, but all I had was a MH so I dimmed my ballast down to 50% n kept it several feet away (600w on 50% so ~300w)...was a little too much at first n they were showing signs of heat stress n PMS, but they grew out of it after a week or so n took off...next time around I'll definitely be starting with less light.Few my beans are germinated and just planted, what should i be doing for lighting?
