nute burn would be my first guess.. Maybe some cal/mag issue?
Are you using R/o water? No I use tap water an ph it
If you post in the plant problem section and give every single detail of the grow then you will get better support.
So u think it could be root rot cause of the light getting inlight getting in at net pots you have root rot more than likely
look at roots are they white..So u think it could be root rot cause of the light getting in

I don't know the tds stuff yet but I have one an yes I do give them calmagWhats your ppms or ec been so far? Are you adding calmag and what do you feed with?

DwcUsing to much nutrients -don't concern your self with "PH" so much when growing in soil. Flush for a week - at any rate you PH is OK and within range
I left a half inch and then let it run down. Any space is good imo.This. Finish filling the rest of that net pot with hydroton so you can't see through the net pot. If you can see in, light is getting in. How big is your air pump? Try to give your air stone more oxygen/airflow. Add another stone if necessary. Also what Alien said about checking your EC and what all you put into your rez and when. You can get a cheap TDS meter for $20 or so.
I keep my pH around 5.6 in DWC. If you don't have an accurate way of measuring this (pH meter calibrated within the last month that matches the dropper pH), you may want to aim for 5.8 or 5.9. The drops are a little hard to tell sometimes. A must have for double checking your meter minimum once a month though.
You have at least an inch between the net pot and the water right?
well thats pretty important. The size of the plant defines what you have to feed it. Arms out sized is about 8-900 or less depending on how big your armspan is in flower. Small plants need much less feed and my favorite pointer i got was you need to change the rez as often as the plants drink it. Every time you add as much water as your rez holds you should change it.
