You mean that seeds from self pollinated plants with bananas are viable? I always thought they also tend to hermie, but some people say they don'tThe worst that can happen is you'll end up with a few seeds. With the prices people pay for seeds I'm always surprised when people go into a panic over a couple banana's on their plants.
Can you post a whole plant pic? How far are you into flower? Like @Richard Drysift said, if you dont see many then just pluck them off. And if you're close to harvest, pluck them off and you'll be fine.Do I have bananas? If so what should I do?
I can't post a pic of whole plant I am now leaving the state for a few days. But I did pluck them off before I left ended up finding about 10 to tel between the 3 plants. Didn't find any on any others thankfully. I have my brother baby sitying my girls for me while I'm away so they don't get lonely.. LOLCan you post a whole plant pic? How far are you into flower? The first cross I ever made I used some banana's that formed on a Master Kush that I used to pollinate a strain called Purple Sky. The cross was phenomenal. None of the seeds from the cross developed into hermies and I gave away a bunch of seeds and clones and nobody that grew it ever had them go hermie either. If you let most plants grow long enough they will develop banana's regardless of strain. It's the plants way of reproducing on it's own if it doesn't get pollinated by a male. It's called rodelization. It's what the plant does to survive. You mean that seeds from self pollinated plants with bananas are viable? That's some good info, thank you. If I understand correctly, you let the plant get overriped until she starts showing bananas, right? But doesn't the plant die shortly after that? I mean, seeds take time to develop. When I pollinated my females with male pollen it took 4-5 weeks for the seeds to mature. How do you keep the plant alive? Im guessing that im wrong and the plant doesn't die?The first cross I ever made I used some banana's that formed on a Master Kush that I used to pollinate a strain called Purple Sky.
