to the same scotts soil that has food for 4 months,,or a regular soil not 4 month thats the question!!!

regular soil. that way you have complete control over what nutrients your plant receives.

Well, Scotts and MG are basically the same company. Try going to their webiste.

Read the label, and look at the nutes, where its derived from, the levels. If the old Scotts soil has been watered a ton getting to this point (ie: not a month old), match your nutes to the MG nutes.

But overall, don' sweat it. The plant may pause a little more after the x-plant.

If you really wanna make it nice (and be totally anal), read the pH of the drain water of the Scotts. Then match the MGs pH drainage to that. Then x-plant.

I do think we, as a group, over science these things. (and I *love* that part of us. Its a great learning process. But the best innovations usually are the simplest. )

OMG but what about the basic fundametal question?
should i continue with the same soil that has food for 4 months,,or switch soils with a normal commercial soil when i transplant,,,,,,, cheers!!! i still dont know

what regular soil (commercial)is best that they sell at homedepot or lowes?

sorry. hows the plant? if its good, stick with what ya got. Don't fix what ain't broke. And if its a first grow, even more so. Get a baseline to judge against.

like I was saying, transplant into soil that doesn't have 4 months of nutrients. how hard is that to understand? Why would you plant in soil that feeds your plant on an irregular schedule and at irregular strengths. Get soil that doesn't have any food or nutrients in it so that you can control all the nutes that your plants will be receiving.

Ok my first transplant is over i had 2 issues

1)when i repotted i cutt out a little of the roots in 1 of them,,just a little not too much ,,it had so much more,,im sure it no big deal
2) my cat took a bite of 1 of the outter leaves of plant,,look

People have told me its no big deal it wont effect my yield,,what do u think??? also should i leave it alone or clip the leaf completly,,,,,both issues i think are minor what do u think,,,be honest,,lol,,,losing a lil root isnt too bad right? and the leaf thing people said is nothing,,but clip or not?
