Strain... Cheese
120 Watt led with uv
Humboldt grow micro and bloom w/ very little h2o2
Temp 70-78
Humidity 40-55%
Ph 5.8-6.3
Dwc res temp... 71-78 degrees
A couple weeks ago I had a few leaves start to develop yellowish brown splotches and turned crispy... I had light entering my res and slime was starting to develop... I changed water fixed the light problem cleaned my res and the last two water changes used h2o2 to kill any bad bacteria that might have been growing... My new growth that came in after that has looked really good until a couple days ago it is now starting to develop the same splotches... The leaves don't seem near as crispy but they still feel waxy in a way... I'm about to start flowering but need to cure this problem first so I don't hinder my quality and yield.... Oh yea I've been misting twice a day with tap water and I used rootastic the first three weeks into my grow... Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Alright well misting them with water is pointless. Twice a day is harmfull, imean look at em dude they're soaked.

Personally, I only mist to foliar feed, and many growers on here say you should wipe your leaves off once in awhile to unclog the "pores"

Looks to me like some kind of nutrient toxicity burn, I'm no hydro guy but I think that's ur prob.

Your over caring for her.

1. lay off the peroxide. thats no good.
2. spray no more than twice a week. spray with kelp and aloe. not just water.
3. Looks like a boron deficiency either by ph out of wack or lack of nutes. kelp alone has enough boron in it to fix .

What does your ppm meter read? Looks like nute burn to me, but wait for a more experienced grower to verify this.

Yea I started misting a week ago thinking my humidity was too low trying to get it up... They look wet cause I took the pic right after misting... Only thing I've misted w is water... But I will def stop knowing it's doing nothing but possibly sufficating my plant... I've recalibrate my pen twice to make sure my pH is good and it hasn't been out of range the entire grow... The rootastic is high in phosphorus and was thinking too much caused a zinc lockout. .. Never considered boron... I will have to look into that... Thanks guys for the quick replys

you can add a bowl of water to the room and that will up the humidity 10% - 30% depending on size of the bowl and area. Zinc def almost resembles an iron and mag def but starts in the opposite direction and spreads inward. Nute burn will start with red tips and spread red color along the edges of the leaves and the edges will flare up too.

Yea it seems like this yellowing is starting in random spots in the middle of the leaves not by the vein and not by the edge... The stems look normal no discoloration on them... My new growth looks fine and my old growth looks fine... It really has me stumped... I think tomorrow I am going to take my pen to the Hydro store to have it professionally calibrated And pick up some kelp to make a spray with... I use tap water so I would like think it would have boron in it but I have never cked into my water supplier to find out exactly... Thanks again for the quick responses everyone

Get kelp meal.. Soak in water or aerate for a day or 2 then strain.. Use the water. Set aside the kelp. It can be reused. Aside from being organic. You get much more out of the kelp meal. Plus its cheaper and will last much longer. Bottled kelp is no good. I do about an 1/8 cup per 1.25 quarts or 2.5 pints. That's the size of my pump spray bottle.

your deficient in magnesium.

Nope wrong. Mag def is yellow and runs along the edges. Never browns.. When it yellows at the tips then turns a crispy and brown thats phos def. Orange brownish sporadic spots are boron defs.
Tiny rust spots are cal defs.

Dude you're causing the damage by doing too much :wall: it has a nute lock out, I don't do hydro, and you shouldn't either :cuss: no offense  but you don't know how to read your plants yet , so you have no business adding more shit to confuse you, and hydro will do that....go to soil and learn how to read your plants before you put unknown variables into your grow, and next time you will know what's wrong

What's w all the hate? The middle pic u show isn't how my problem developed so I am going to run that out I've done research on boron for the last couple hours and I believe that with a little cal def is what's going on.... I've done Hydro fir threes years now with several very successful grows... I kno how to read my plants this is just the first time I've ran into this problem which is y im trying to get trustworthy info... The fact u guys are bashing hyroot just leads me to believe he is right...Thank you to the ones who actually helped me out and shame on the ones ruining a thread... For the ones who actually care I'll be creating a new thread w the updates in a few days
