HI, I am from China. English is not very good. I hope that you guys can understand what I am saying.
I have now: cxb3590 X4
:MW drive CLG-185H-C1400b and CLG-320H-C1400b
Now I know that each LED will output 50W when linking 185H. If I connect to the 320H driver, can I get better results?
I need to plant 3 weeds in a 60X120x150cm tent.
What are your suggestions?
I can't get this information in China. If you guys can help me, I am really happy.

Thank you!

The output of the cree cxb3590 is the voltage X the current.

so its something like 35v x 1.4amps = 195 cob watts and a bit more at the wall depending on the efficiency of the driver.

I can not find CLG drivers, maybe you mean HLG?

In the case of the HLG-185-c1400 4 cobs should fit. You will not get more power out of the hlg-320-c1400 without using more cobs.
You could use a hlg-240-36a and wire in parallel which would give you 240w.

Everything I said above is in relation to cxb3590 36v version, if you have 72volt version then its different.

With a 72 volt cxb3590 you could only run 3 of them on a hlg320-1400 driver because 4 cobs would take you over the voltage capability of the driver by a lot.

3x 72v cxb3590s on a hlg320-c1400 would give you 312w ish and be more than enough light, you may want to dim it.

So it greatly depends on which cxb3590 cob you have. The 36v or the 72v version

Hope that helps and BTW you are perfectly easy to understand.

P.S if you are talking about a different driver than the meanwell HLG series please link a data sheet so I can look at it.

Yeah those drivers are constant current so that is what the cob will be driven at. If you want more power then you can add two more cobs to the hlg320h-c1400 but no more than two more.

Or you can use the hlg240-36 for 240w or hlg320-36 for 320w

Either would do fine in your space.
You really don't want to be driving the cxb3590 at 100w each, you lose a lot of the efficiency and its too much light for a 60cmx1.2m tent.
Plus with only 150cm height you will probably get light stress or bleaching at that power so close to the plants.
Also you would need bigger heat sinks to power them 100w.

Trust me anywhere from 240w-320w is golden in that space.

With a constant current driver like you have now you would wire in series.
If you change to a hlg320-36 driver then you must wire in parallel.

Hope that helps.

Thank you very much, this helped me a lot.
In China DIY a CXB3590 50w using MW drive, it takes about 55USD each.
However, I found a cheaper 60W-36A driver, I prepared each lamp to link a separate drive and then wire in series.
Thank you again for your suggestion, this is my first planting,
I learned from the Internet that planting lights are very important equipment, so I want to use more power, obviously I did not consider the size of my tent.

Your welcome.
We aim for 30-40w per square foot, some people use a little less and some use a little more.
Been in china you have access to some great prices.
Good luck with your growing!

I was wrong. If the 60W 3.6A driver does not have enough voltage to start the 3590, I let the driver seller set it up to 36v 2000mA. That is 70W. I bought a radiator that is big enough.
