Plug/Socket missing from IEC (lamp to ballast) flex....

Today I got a Power Station Aero Wing reflector.
It was a bargain (but I had to travel an hours drive to collect it).

The ceramic bulb holder and electrical flex do not have a IEC Plug on the end....
Just the blue, brown and yellow/green wiring sticking out of the plastic flex cover.

My other reflector connects to its ballast with a MALE IEC PLUG
And, on the original packaging of this equipment, there's a drawing of the ceramic bulb holder and electrical flex ending with a male IEC plug.

Are there different types/sizes for these plugs?
(I don't want to attach the wrong one and cause problems)

Are these IEC plugs awkward to wire up?

Is there any additional info that anyone of experience feels I should know...?

2nd hand an it was obversely not long enough so they have cut the 3 pin plug of an extended the wire, u get this a lot in the UK when buy 2nd hand.

Also the police now sell the stuff rather than burn it, an the first thing they do on a bust is cut the plugs!

I'm pretty sure its the original flex still attached.
Every few feet there's an indented sentence that implies its all POWER STATION original components.

Maybe it was wired directly into a ballast?

OR it's knackered and the missing plug buys time cos I cannot test it?

The actual reflector is what I wanted so, either way, i'm still OK with it
(but a fully working iec would be a bonus)

Don't be opening the ballast as I said above if they had there ballast outside the room they need to extend the cable

U just need a connector block an the fitting for the ballast side an your light will work

I ordered a IEC male plug, earlier. It was only £2 but will take a few days to arrive.
The guy who sold me the reflector assures me that the cord set works fine and that it doesn't have a plug because he had them wired directly into ballasts.
I'm supposed to be buying a 2nd one from him, tomorrow, but we agreed to wait till the plug arrives - then I can confirm that it all works, before we meet and repeat the transaction.
I also bought a Lumii Reflector Cord Set (for £5).
At a pinch this could manage the job.

A 4m Power Station Cord Set replacement costs £15 (+£5 postage) or £25 (free postage) on Ebay.

NO. I wouldn't open a ballast and start fishing around in it.
I know my limits.

The IEC Male Plug arrived today and, after a very frustrating hour, I managed to wire it up.
It works perfectly.
The plug was £1.59 with free postage
there were Easy Wire versions for about £9.

Now I understand why people will pay the extra cash.
Wiring them up is a tricky job.
