Hi Shelly,
Sorry but I hadn't seen the thread. Looks to me like you're experiencinga slight pH imbalance. When this happens - your plants will only take up nutes from the specific pH profile available causeing it to have too much of only one thing. Leave your ebb on 15 minutes on and 2 hours off. Off during dark but people have had success with leaving that cycle around the clock. Pictures are certainly memorable because I remember that on my first DWC setup. Don't remove the leaves. No matter how unsightly just let them fall naturally unless you are purposely struipping back like I do.

Do you have a pH and a TDS meter handy???

Yup thats it. Everytime I saw them spots my pH was up there so I took a buds advice and started making my pH 5.4 and allowed it to rise to 5.9 or so. Never had problems with that again. Also the pH adjusters them selves are super concentrated. If you find yourself using them offten than you must have a small res. The larger the res than the more staple your pH will be...

Using nutes with builtin pH stabilizers helps me a whole lot too but when your pH fluctuates, this is a sign of activity and tells you your plants are working. You should not have to pH everyday - yes if you're in DWC but not when you're in an ebb type system.

On another note: When in aero, your nutes solution should be slahed by up to 75%. It is EXTREMELY readily available to the roots so the smallest amout will take you very very far!! Just my .02

Hi, I use a Wilma system. Before I begin lets get something clear from the start. I'm a new grower but I currently have a successful grow with healthy plants. Here's what I think....

Firstly the amount you feed them largely depends on the medium that you are growing in. From what I see, you are growing in that pebble stuff... As far as I know that medium is much better suited to a flood & drain type system rather than a dripper system like the Wilma. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying it's not possible but I imagine that if you're going to use a dripper system, then it would take an expert to get it right. :-|. the reason i say this is because that medium doesn't really retain any water, so you need to flood it... then drain it away again. Pretty hard to do with a dripper system.

Ok... This is what I would recommend you do, but I don't think you're gonna like it! Get yourself a medium that retains water like coco choir (its made from coconut husks) or even soil! Then remove those blue drippers that you have & put the black drippers in. The blue drippers simply flood... the black drippers actually "drip"!

Replant your plants in the new medium. Put a timer on the pump for the Wilma system and set the timer to switch on 3 times a day for 15 mins only! You can increase the number of times it comes on per day if you like, but start with 3 and monitor it by checking the moisture levels in the growing medium. If it's wet every time you check it during the day then reduce the number of times the pump switches on, if its dry, then increase the number of times it comes on. With my system, I started with it on 3 times a day. As i increased the sizes of my pots I increased it to 4 times a day.

A medium like coco choir is much easier for new growers to get good results in, trust me if I can use it successful then anyone can do it!

Lastly, I notice that you are drastically adjusting your PH levels from one extreme to the other... If you switch growing medium I can almost guarantee that you will be able to balance the PH a little better, (I only adjust my PH once a week!). Leaping constantly from just under 7 to 5.5 can't be good for the plants, you need to chill out on that a it :blsmoke:. Aim for a middle of the road level, between 5,9 & 6.2.

I know everything I've said boils down to changing your medium, and that is a real pain but I can only advise you on what I actually know, as I said earlier I for one would not be able to grow in those pebbly things using a dripper system so I'm not going to tell you otherwise.

I hope this helps you... I'm feeling your frustration. Good luck.

Untill she's (dead dead) give her the benefit of the doubt. Don't forget that we're not cultivating daisy's here. These plants grow in many fors as well as rag weed. This species is know for nonstop get the fuck outta my way growth. They are more proned to return after catastrophic event than any other species of plant imo...
