coco is inert...but i see what you're saying...i think peat is considered inert also or at least close to it....whatever tho who cares
Peat has some micronutes, so it’s not quite inert but almost.coco is inert...but i see what you're saying...i think peat is considered inert also or at least close to it....whatever tho who cares
right......but you're just trying to be technical about it so you can say that you're right and he's wrong, when in all reality, you couldn't grow in either straight coco or straight peat without some sorta food right?Peat has some micronutes, so it’s not quite inert but almost.
I was simply explaining why peat wouldn't be considered inert, even though it practically is.right......but you're just trying to be technical about it so you can say that you're right and he's wrong, when in all reality, you couldn't grow in either straight coco or straight peat without some sorta food right?
so ya know...it's still whatever man
coco has k in it. Im pretty sure. I think it even has to be washed out before use. Its holds water GREAT. it hold bacteria GREAT. its not inert.I was simply explaining why peat wouldn't be considered inert, even though it practically is.
"high amounts of K and P"Coir does typically have high amounts of potassium and phosphorus, but because it only contains trace amounts of calcium, chlorine, copper, iron, magnesium, boron, manganese, nitrogen, and zinc, it often requires nutrient supplementation.
You are smarter than everyone else. You're right."high amounts of K and P"
So you literally have to wash it off for it to be inert. coco is much closer to soil then it is inert.
After all that reading .... its pretty clear that coco is not inert at all.
You’re pretty sure eh? You don’t sound too sure. Certainly not definite, and zero actual reference. Rock wool can hold bacteria too, does that somehow make it not inert? I don’t think you know what inert means.coco has k in it. Im pretty sure. I think it even has to be washed out before use. Its holds water GREAT. it hold bacteria GREAT. its not inert.
Coco can grow massive plants in small containers. Coco can be used by anyone as long as you care for it properly like any other medium.Hey so I am not trying to stir anything up, just curious. Is there a huge advantage to using Coco? I am a total newbie and don’t know much about it. I have just seen a good amount of problems with it on here. Is it mainly used in Hydro systems? Is it something that is better suited for more experienced growers? Thanks everyone!
At that point i was pretty sure....after reading a couple more hours on it, i came back with the same info we read about when coco became a "thang" ..... i didnt know it had "high amounts of P" in it but ive always read it had a high amount of K in it.....unless you wash it out....supposedly you can just flush it all out but im not sure on that. You’re pretty sure eh? You don’t sound too sure. Certainly not definite, and zero actual reference. Rock wool can hold bacteria too, does that somehow make it not inert? I don’t think you know what inert means.
I read the reference that 28 provided.Certainly not definite, and zero actual reference.
I have to answer that with another question.Rock wool can hold bacteria too, does that somehow make it not inert? I don’t think you know what inert means.
Soil consists of both rock mineral particulates and organic matter. Without organic matter, it's not soil; it would be sand, silt or clay. Therefore your question is mute.I have to answer that with another question.
If soil is stripped of all its food , does that make it inert ? by definition , i suppose it does but you wont find that info anywhere.... im just questioning things.
You're wrong. If im wrong ,im wrong....it happens a lot , its no big deal.
Your hard headed like me. Im openly debating and openly admiting that i do not know it all but since you do , i should step back.Soil consists of both rock mineral particulates and organic matter. Without organic matter, it's not soil; it would be sand, silt or clay. Therefore your question is mute.
