I understand hps. Why not got with cmh? You'll get both spectrums.
CMH is great at providing both spectrum's. Less lummens, but plants don't care about lummens. They care about PAR, and cmh have great par value.

The main reason I don't use them is that I had the hps already. I first tried adding mh reef bulbs (deep blue, 430 to 460 nm) for the spectrum, but didn't like cooloing the extra heat produced. The led's are way low heat, and their small size allows easy positioning. I'd never recommend led's as a total light source, but they work well as side lighting or supplemental. Led's have limited foot print and penetration for use as total lighting in my opinion.

Some day, as cmh becomes available in higher wattage's..it may prove a very useful growing bulb.

Hey Bob, check out my sativas.. Swag of course, but this isn't even 4 weeks into flowering. You think they are lacking in trichome production? I do supplement 5600k lighting along with the HPS.
They look great. fatty leaves for a sativa..what strain? And WAY developed for a sativa only 4 weeks in. Sure that puppy doesn't have some Indica tossed in for speed and bulk?

Here's a pic of my last batch of wispy under developed buds...Cannalytics, the only testing source available around me, analyzed this at 26.5 total thc... .01 cbd, .30 cbn. They , unfortunatly, can not sort out thcv in their testing method, but guessing by the "total thc" value and the clearness of the 'high' ..I'd say 6-7%... zero pesticides, zero mold, zero "bug matter"..I was pretty happy with that.. They charge $60 to analyze a sample, and I'll take one over once in a while to get an idea of what happens when I make an adjustment in lighting or soil mix...just to see if it had any effects..Can't sleep on these meds if you try...which is part of what I'm looking for to battle the fatigue caused by my Parkinson's..

Yes it is a hybrid, but very sativa dominant.
