Somewhere in the bill it has to define what an illicit source is, no? Or at least a licit source?

anything unlicensed
So presumably they will track licensed seed/clone sales. If you aren't on the list and are growing, it must be illicit? So they will know who is growing and can drop by to visit? And if they catch you with weed that didn't come from licensed genetics its off to the klinker for you?

I'm surprised they didn't require an IP video camera trained on the plants at all times. And a tv in your grow room tuned to a government advisory feed.

1984 has arrived for you folks. Well, that and scrogs.

a cannabis plant that is from a seed or plant mate-
rial that they know is illicit cannabis
; or

I think you have to read that sentence in its' entirety. They just made bag seed and clones from black market weed illegal. I have no idea how they will enforce this but with genetic technology I believe this is a precursor that will allow them to insert genes into "legal cannabis".
where do cannabis seeds come from?
where do they get or obtain it from.

so you mean its good for you to get seeds and fund your source. Any lawyer would get that thrown out if it came to that.

The people should be able to sell flowers to flowers to eatch other. The government saw how much taxes they are losing and want in. But cannabis users are of a certain kind. Not the people putting in the policy.

Good lucks fucks trying to force people to go your way... soon time fail.

Not enforceable in the slightest. Example - I have seeds from MY plants, I'm allowed to share 30g, so any seeds in that bag now become the legal property of the person I gave it to. That person can then grow and clone to his/her hearts content...all perfectly legal. It's just a scare tactic to promote LP clones...means absolutely nothing.
My "guess" is that any gifted genetics are considered illicit since they didn't come from an lp. If you don't have a receipt for the genetics you are growing, you could be in for a hassle. But if they don't tag them genetically, you could just buy some seeds and throw them away. But chances are they won't be cheap. This is about revenu. If lp's charge $100 a seed, what choices do people have (legally)?

I don't agree, for a number of reasons. I have been growing under the mmar, legally, for years. During that time I have acquired a collection of seeds...all of them are my legal property and I can do with them what I want. I can share 30g and one of those seeds might find it's way into the bag...it's now the other guy's legal property. Nothing came from illicit sources...
Secondly, who are they gonna pay to sample weed for genetics? Are they going to send a botanist around to every house to take samples? If you are not supplying the black market, nobody is going to care.

I get what your saying...I'm slow this morning - MORE COFFEE! lol
I guess they could try, but I'm not sure it would pass a court challenge. The average joe has nothing to worry about imo, if the cops don't have a reason to check, you're golden.

Current seed prices Ive heard are $20-$25/seed. Which is a fucking joke. Thats well above seedbank prices for the same breeders

Thought I would post this after reading some of the garbage enforcement information in this act. Sounds like the piggies will be given lots more power to do whatever they want. Warrant less searches here we come.

"A peace officer may exercise any of the powers de- scribed in subsection (1), (5) or (6) without a warrant if the conditions for obtaining a warrant exist but by reason of exigent circumstances it would be impracticable to ob- tain one."
the exigent circumstances exception to warrant requirements are nothing new.but the courts have tightly defined this exception.so this is nothing new.unless customs seize them L.E has no way of knowing where my seeds come from and customs can't prove I ordered them or had any knowledge they were being sent to me

I wish more people understood this. All they ever needed to cover their asses is to say that they believed that you would destroy evidence, that they were chasing a suspect that entered your residence or that a person they are looking to arrest would flee the residence if they waited on a warrant to enter.
