This could have gone in another forum but I thought it would be handy to us outdoor growers. Or anyone for that matter. Mods feel free to move it need be.
They got some pretty cool scanners now days. This new technology will let you pick up any radio transmission within a block or two of the scanner. with a handheld you cab take it anywhere.
So if a the pigs were next door or out in front of your house this radio would pick up the radio talk intantly. They also have a warning light feature. You can plug in a red light to the unit and turn the volume down. When you see the red light on and flashing that is telling you someone is outside your house talking on any radio. Or in the woods you can hear if anything is going on around you. Many many uses I can think of.
I just thought this was really cool. Not only for growers but for family saftey as well. It would be nice to know whats going on outside your own front door.
