Poll: Aeroponics performance over soil, and digital ballast vs normal ballast

Ok basically there's 2 sides of the story. Some will say that aeroponics will yield about twice as much soil (at least 30% more) but others say that the peformance is similar.

Also with digital ballasts many claim that it will have 30% more output but others say its similar performance.

Whats your experience with:
1. Aeroponics (or even hydroponics) vs soil higher performance?
2. Digital vs normal ballasts

1.) Aeroponics Kills soil!!!... I mean it pulls out a sword cuts soils limbs off then laughs as it walks away!...

2.) Digital if you want to save a little energy and less noise...
...but get a magnetic if you want to have it for ten years...

Aeroponics is better than soil because with aeroponics, crops are healthier, more delicious and bigger. On the other hand, digital ballast is way better than a normal ballast because it is more durable and efficient.

Aeroponics is not the holy grail of hydro. There has never been an aero grow that I've seen that comes close to matching the top growers in E&F. That's a fact jack.

If you are talking about any grow under 80 days from clone than hydro will kick soil's ass every time. For longer vegs the difference is less for the experienced people it seems.

Hi sorry for butting in, i have a question ..... do you need an air pump when building your own aeroponics system ??? As i have seen some with and some without on certain peoples grows. sorry in advance if its a silly question.

Some people put them in for safety but I never bothered with my nft type (tubes instead of buckets) the D.O. is already high enough from the misters.
