Pond water

it is a natural source of nitrogen (mostly nitrates), but i wouldn't be too sure about feeding it to a plant as precious as the one you intend to feed it to. Ponds and dirty aquariums have lots of micro organisms. Just look at a little bit of the sludge from it under a microscope. I would never feed it to a plant i was gonna smoke.

only use that water if you thoroughly filter it,,,,,,,but tap or bottled water and some good nutes is the way you should go imo.peace

Yeah! That would be almost as bad as putting bat shit on your plants!

or manure or dead fish or earthworm castings. I dunno though, every time I use algae and my plants in the same sentence, I usually have another few four letter words to add as well. Do what you want, experimentation leads to new discoveries, but sometimes it's better to remember the tried and true as opposed to reinventing the wheel.

dude weed use to grow natural by itself outdoors, and still does in some cuntries. come on the more natural the better, dont let medern societys views take away your natural insticts. thats like going only use 600 watt lamps instead of sunlight, cus the sun will burn it, or has more uv rays that arent as good.

I have a 1500 gal pond in my yard in the S Western US and keep it pretty clean. There plenty of algae, goldfish and turtle crap. I used it on my first grow and it worked very well. Sure is cheaper than bottled nutes. This is what I grew with mostly pond water at the beginning.

I have a friend who has a pond with live plants growin' in it. The fish provide nutes from their poop. I think it would be awesome to grow one in the pond (plastic lined pond, man made with filtration) the only thing I would worry about is bugs...

Mine is lined and man made. No bugs. Turtle eats anything including birds that fall in.
I'm going to experiment and feed one Foxfarm./ distilled water and the other pond water with fish crap for one month to see if there are any differences in growth.

From veg thru flower ????? Seems all the nutes and macros would be in there and the plant would use what it needs. I know in nature there is no one mixing up 3pt nute solutions right?????

I have a large canister filter that I can back flush into my sprinkler can. After a month I'll report my results comparing the pond water plant to the Foxfarm fed plant. They're two indentical plants started at the same time and everything else being equal.
