I would love to learn about growing poppies indoors. So far I have found it hard to find much information. And most of what I have read is just people theorizing with no real experience.

16/8 lighting seems to be doing best with a 1-1-1 fert every 4th day or so got a whole garden bed full of them aswell, looks like a green carpet lmao ! Happy growing guys!!!

Light for Indoor Poppy Seedlings
Though most commonly sown in place outdoors, poppies can be started indoors to get a jump on the season. Once seeds germinate indoors, the developing seedlings need to be placed in bright sunlight in a south-facing window or -- more effectively -- under fluorescent light tubes. A bar-style shop light that holds two long tube bulbs is ideal -- use one warm and one cool bulb. Lights should be no closer than 6 inches from the tops of the plants -- moving farther back as they grow to prevent leaf burn. Lights need to stay on for 14 to 16 hours a day.

hes not wrong compleatly, you do need quite a few to get the most out of the, i take 30 pods to get a high but there just the large p.soms large podYa need an acre field

They are very finicky plants. They like well drained soil. Only water at beginning of lights on. They are very sensitive to over fertilization and over watering. They will still flower if they are close together, but they will be much smaller than if you give them room to grow without touching anything around them. I've never been able to get them to recover well from a transplant.

I'm sorry to hear about any pain they have caused you. For me, they are purely ornamental. I've never tried to consume them. They were always in my grandma's garden when I was a kid. I've always loved them.
