poppins.... everything looks nice and very impressive..... its nice to see it working well for you... i just ordered the cfl book and I have some seeds hopefully on the way from dr chronic.... i cant wait to start... lowryders that is.... peace bro

where might i find the connections to the cfl's that have places for 2 bulbs. i shop at home depot and lowes and i have not seen any with 2 jacks just 1 for a bulb. ty

You have to get "Y" adaptors. They are in the electrical section at Lowes, Home Depot, and most Walmarts. You screw the adaptor into the light socket and this provides a place for 2 bulbs.

cool ty much have 6 cfl's on 3 plants but now that can go to 12....lol

I live in a pretty humid climate. I'm guessing the fact that the A/C runs alot in my apartment keeps the humidity steady. The other night it got down to 35 degrees outside and 65 inside. The humidity had climbed to 80% when I checked on the plants when they woke up.
With the lights on the humidity stays between 60 and 65%. First thing the the a.m. after lights on the humidity has not been above 70% except one time. As the temp goes up the humidity goes down and visa versa. Controlling the temperature is probably half the battle in controlling humidity. If humidity becomes a problem, I will get a dehumidifier for the closet to run at night.

I'm kind of pressed for time, but I thought I'd throw up some pics from today. I apologize for the poor quality, but as I've mentioned my camera sucks and I'm a terrible photographer.
Today is the 24th day of 12/12 and the 42nd day since they sprouted. Both plants are about 20" tall.
There is a little bit of ram horning going on in the plant on the right (in pic with both). I'm not really sure what that is about. This is the plant closest to the fan if that may have anything to do with it. It is only occuring on the main cola. Other than that both appear to be pretty healthy. If anyone has an idea about what causes this feel free to comment.
Don't laugh at my terrble camera work with the half ass attempt at a bud shot.

Have you ever had one of those days when you pissed down the leg of your last pair of clean pants to start the day, followed that up with spilling coffee on the carpet, and burnt a peanut butter and jelley at lunch? Today was one of those days. The weekend can't get here any quicker.
An update. The plants seem to be doing fine. If anyone sees any problems or has any suggestions, please don't hesitate to let me know.
Today is day 45 of the grow and day 27 of 12/12 lights. They just got water (about 3.5L) today for the first time in 8 days. I'd have watered before this, but time was a real issue earlier this week. I just got a new vaporizer a couple of days ago, and Poppin is vapobaked!
I was actually so ripped that I had to close the laptop and find the couch last night. So I'm posting this a day late.
The girls really seem to love getting water. It seems as if they put off more new growth in the days following a watering than the days leading upto getting water.

On my way home today I stopped by the store and picked up 3 more 2700K 42 watt CFLs. There are some smaller buds on lower levels that are showing some promise, and I wanted to give them some more light. So I added these 3 plus 4 23 watters in places 42's wouldn't fit. Currently I have 12 42 watt cfls (9 2700K, and 3 6500K), and 4 23 watt 2700K on two plants.
I went ahead and took of pic and tried to get most of the lights in the shot. I included a pic of the smaller buds, and pic of a larger one just because I like looking at it.
Please feel free to post any comments, questions or suggestions.

Anyone know the highest the temperature should reach during flowering? The new lights I've added have raised the temps in the closet to about 87 (29C) from 82. My plants are PPP (Pure Power Plant) from nirvana, which to the best of my understanding is sativa dominant genetics. It doesn't "feel" hot in the room, and the only signs of heat stress are the spots where I got the lights too close (touching) to the leaves (never the buds). It takes about 5 hours for the temps to get to the peak of 87/88. So they are in this temp for 7 hours. Night time temps are about 72. I also plan on removing the blue spectrum CFLs (3 of the 12 42 watters) the last 2 weeks to lower the temps to keep from sacrificing potency to heat. If I don't get any responses, I'll probably post this the the general growing section. Thanks guys.

I would try to get the temps in the 70's while the lights are on. The upper 80's is not ideal temps.

I think I'm going to check temps in the a.m. after the lights have been on for a few hours. If it is abouve 86, I'll pull a 23 watter a day until I get it in the lower 80's. On a different note, the buds really seem to like the additional light. Does anyone have an idea for lowering temps in a closet without removing lights? I have an oscillating fan on high blowing cool air from the room up at the lights/canopy right now. I was considering putting a medium sized box fan on the shelf in the closet blowing warm air out.
