Last Tuesday evening I harvested one of my plants after 60 days of flowering. The calyxes swole almost looking seeded and the pistils turned brown (80 - 90% of them). The trichs were about 60% amber and 40% milky with a smattering of clear trichs. The plant harvested was the smaller of the two plants, but in the last two weeks outpaced its sister in terms of maturity.
I couldn't get a decent picture of the harvest before they were dry. I had to dry it all over the house, and didn't really have place to hang all of it. The bud you see that is the length of the sewing machine finished at 11.8 grams. The total dry harvest from that plant was 47.3 grams. If you add this to the early harvest (that I wish I didn't have to do); you get 70.8 grams. Now that I have a gauge by which to judge, I'm going to guess 50 or so grams come off the plant yet to be harvested. The top alone is more than twice what the top on this one is. That would put me over 4 ounces
!!! Needless to say, I'd be happy with that.
So I havested and manicured last Tuesday. I dried them in the hall closet(s)during the night. My grow closet had been running at 78 degrees and 37% humidity during the day. So I hung them on the dark side of the black/white poly during the day. The airflow is so much better in the grow closet, and just as dark as the hall closets. This greatly aided in drying them. They dried alternating days in the grow closet and nights in the hall closet(s) for 5 days. Today I took them down, manicured them a bit more and placed them in glass jars. You can see two of the jars are 3/4 full in the background.
I have alot of work to do this week, but I'm going to try and take the time during one of my breaks to post what I learned, what I did wrong, what I would do again etc. I'm pretty pleased with this grow, but I'm 100% certain I could do better with the same resources.
