I've got this portable a/c and I'm wondering how to vent the exhaust air. During flowering the exhaust will be smelly and I need a way to elimanate odor,I'm also wondering if the exhaust will harm a carbon filter (because its hot air).:eyesmoke::leaf:

You cant feed the exhaust through a carbon filter, even though it seems like it works OK for the smell at first, it will slow down the air too much and you will kill your compressor. Portable AC's need no restriction at all with their exhaust. Best thing to do, that I know of so far, is get a couple of O3 generators and put them near the exhaust vent opening. it will eliminate a large chunk of the odor.

you can build a box around the carbon filter and route the ac into it and it will actually improve the function of the ac becaus the filter will suck the hot air out as opposed to the ac needing to push it out. It also helps because the hot air gets wisked away so it doesnt effect the function of the AC

fuck yeah thats what im gonna do thanks

thats a good idea, i never thought of that. however, the speed of the fan pulling out air through the filter would have to be as fast, or faster than the AC's exit exhaust. My portable AC's have had fans of like 500 cfm so a 650 would probably work really well. thats a really nice idea though

2' x 2' x 4' box working great a/c lights and room vented into box everything exhausts out one hole. Thanks Iscrog4food.

i was gonna do that . but then i decided im just going to scrub the air in the room so there is no odour to begin with

plus these portable units dont exhaust much stinky air from the room anyhow . thats what i was told , but have no way to confim that with my unit yet
