Portable A/C & HPS Lights duct "y" to chimney

I wanted some pointers on remodeling my grow room.I have 2 1000HPS and I have a 10000 BTU Portable A/C and I wanted to hook that and my ducting from my lights to a "y" and then run it out my Chimney. My Portable A/C is about 12' from chimney...Would this cause any problems?? What about placements for inline fans? Would i need inline fans before the "Y" on the portable a/c and ducting from lights? or could I get away with just 1 inline fan on the single duct side of the "y". I just want to do it right. My lights are 6" and my portable a/c duct hose is only 4" but if I have to I will bump them up to 8"..I will atleast take the portable a/c to 6". Do I need a special inline fan to handle portable a/c seeing it moisture so I don't have to drain it?? I'm just tired of being able to smell my girls because my a/c is ducted out the window. I currently have my lights ducted to the chimney but I wanted to change my setup and hopefully run them both out chimney.
thanks

Those are good questions. i hope someone answers. i've got to make cooling plans for my new grow room. i live in the desert southwest, so its going to get hot hot hot (mid to high 90s outside). So i'm thinking about getting one of those portable AC's, but the reviews are mixed on them. maybe someone who has one can tell us?

I am running a portable ac now but I just vent it out the window.. Im wanting to hook my portable ac and my ducting from light into a Y and then to my chimney. Portable ac works fine,my buddy swears by analog ac..But just the portable will work for a smaller room. Just make sure you get a big enough ac for the room size

Not a HVAC guy so I don't know your answer but I do know you have to be careful when using your chimney.when you start forcing air into the chimney w/ fans, you could cause air to flow out all the open ends of the chimney, not just out the top. you need to be sure the air doesn't force it's way out your hot water heater or furnace intakes causing them to vent into your basement.

Thanks for the heads up. Currently its ducted to the chimney now.. Grow rooms in basement so ducting to chimney all goes from bottom up and out. No air seemed to be blowing back through furnace. Had to shim chimney cap to alow airflow out. Blows out chimney fine. Just wasnt sure about running hps lights ducting and a/c ducting together.

I do this exact same thing for my veg room and it works sweet. i had my flower room connecting the at a Y with my veg room. I had a 6" inline in the flower and a 4" in line with a duct reducer going from 4" to 6" tube. They connected to a 6" Y then one 6" line out the chimney. I disconnected the 6" in the flower room and caped off where the tubing was going because i had to seal up the room and have no exhaust because im running co2. I think it should work to exhaust out the same line. idk if you would really have to worry about it getting sucked out too much with a inline fan cuz it might cause too much negative pressure in your A/C. i would say just get a inline duct fan to help the heat get to the chimney without being to hard on the A/C. Im not sure tho...ive just been thinking of the exact same thing you are so im going to wait from someone who actually knows or agrees with some of what i said? haha
