possible system???

ok here is what i am thinking about building

i was thinking aeroponic using 6 inch pvc 6.6 feet long 3 tiers.
wuth 2 400 watt hps hanging in 2 cool tubes down the center.

using 3 inch netpots
my biggest question is what spacing should i use betwen 3 inch holes? i do not want to Crowd the plants i want good air flow.
oh and the 2 separate res boxes will be connected via a recirculate pump

I also plan in having air stones in all tubes

any wisdom you all can provide me would be killer as i am new at aeroponic

space them out 12-18 inches ..... 12 is little on the short side but should work...

I'd place fans in between each tier as well... are you planning on running the pvc for misters/sprayers inside the 6 inch pvc or outside?

If you are running misters/sprayers, why have air stones? The water from the 6in PVC should run right back to rez. Do you mean to have water in the 6in PVC? If so that would be water culture. If you plan on aero you can check out the step by step in the GrowFAQ. The tier system is more light effcient, and if you are useing 400w you will need it. 6.6 feet long is kinda long for two 400w lights, but should work.

As far as spaceing, it depends on how you grow. In a SOG I grow single cola's so I space them 9 in apart(center of net pot to center of next net pot). If you plan on bushes about 1 and a half feet would be my guess. It is just a guess because I grow SOG.

ok i was planning on using spray heads on each side of the pots plugging in from the top i was thinking about having a single pvc pipe inside but this is easier to clean i think i was also thinking about using square pvc fence post
i am gonna work up the stand in cad and then fab up the set once i have it made i may have them produced it depends on the price

ya i was looking at that you have the light standing on end i was gonna have 2 lights in kool tubes hanging down the middle do you think that will work?

ya should be fine but why 2? and your talkin about the cool tube reflectors right?

i grabbed a $6 candle shade from the arts and craft store. thats gonna be my "tube".
those cool tubes i think are loot arent they?
