Possible to make nutrient-rich tea from premixed soil?

Hi.

I usually grow in FFOF and FFHF soils...usually adding some type of commercial fertilizers as needed as the nutrient levels diminish in the soil.

I have found that the FFOF is very dark and nutrient-rich soil that seems to be full of all the "good stuff" that are often used to make nutrient tea.

So, I was wondering about just using a cup (or so) of the FF soil dissolved in a couple gallons of water to make a tea that could carry me all the way through flowering. I would just water the pots with fresh, FF soil in a slurry -kind of like top dressing, but with maybe a bit more penetration into the soil...???

My thinking is that it will save a lot of time and money and space. But, maybe I'm missing something in this idea...

I doubt that would work well.
if that's your thing just go buy some fish hydrosylate, kelp meal, and some guanos.
FFOF isn't nearly potent enough to work like that

Idk, it might work good, some of the dirt I buy has compost tea recipes using the dirt, this dr. earth veggie soil got a recipe on the back to make a compost tea from it.

It says 5 gal dechlorinated tap water and add 1 gallon of the soil + 1 ounce unsulfured molasses.
I'd suggest bubbling the water if possible for 24 hours.

yea but you got that a lil mixed up man, a compost tea is one thing, a nutrient tea is entirely a different thing.
He did say a nutrient tea that "could carry me all the way through flowering"
So i'd say a big Nah on that, wouldn't you agree?
For microbes sure, but even then on an un-established soil the microbes are gonna be severely limited in numbers.
My point is that bag has a macro listing, take that and look at the available/soluble nutrients and you'll get VERY little out of it, nutrient wise

Not sure, probably wouldn't know unless I tried it but it definitely has some nutrients in it.

of course, it does have some, but nearly enough to use just that as a sole nutrient.
Your point is a valid one for sure, but considering his question i'd say it'd be a pretty pissed off plant if given only a soil "tea" throughout

If u would try this I would buy a bag of ff planting mix....it had way more goodies than o.f....but like grease said I'd just get some other stuff to make a nute tea man
