Post-Extraction Processing (BHO or other)

Hello, I have always been interested in BHO (15 +yrs) now and have finally got the means to do it!
The situation is not the extraction process itself, but the Magic after it created.
I would like to discuss Vacuum Ovens, Time frame of baking, Temperatures used at what stage?, Pictures of products created and testing results!!!!!. I will post all my findings during my own new direction in life.

My Current Equipment list:

Cascade botanical Vacuum oven
Tamisium TE-12000 4 kilo Capacity
Tamisium TE-700
WELCH VACUUM - 2064B-01 - CHEMICAL-DUTY DRY DIAPHRAGM VACUUM PUMP
Revco Cryogenic Freezer
Shitload of Silmats and 99% alcohol

Ive seen that picture a few times and man does it hurt me.
So did you winterize or what..for the said post extraction processing

no winterizing, just vacuum oven and hi-end extractor. thinking of using a carrier solvent like ethanol to dewax as we process the media.

How high of temps did you use?
what material trim or bud?

Yeah, what temps? what material/strain? How thick is that film shown in the photo, on the silicone mat? Not trying to throw stones, I just rarely see oil that dark of a brown... Looks like you have some nice gear!

Nice stuff, but post extraction techniques are good for things like activated charcoal and hot gravity filtration,w a sinster funnel, or a melting point apparatus for thc and cbd fractions.

The longer runs tend not to be more yellow, but dark brown or reddish oil is got more cannabinoids and color isn't the best part of an extract, the flavor and high is.

Hello.



I have a question that I do not seem to be able to find a answer to......



we are in the process of purchasing a BHO machine and also a vacuum oven. We are either considering purchasing a large oven (capable of processing up to 600g at once) or a couple of smaller ovens. The advantage of the smaller ones is that if one was to go down, we could still process material.



In theory we would only need one small oven, but I have been told over and over that the bottleneck comes at the point where the material goes into the ovens.



So my question is this.......



if we do a number of runs that will obviously go into the oven(s) at potentially very different times, will the adding/opening/closing of the oven effect the material that is purging in the oven? If we do a run and it is in the middle of purging and then add another run a few hours later will the first run be effected negatively in any way by any adjustments that have to be made for the new batch?
