I didn't want to start a new thread but yes it's finally come for me. Harvest time!! I think I pulled a good amount for mt first time. I know I can and will do better, but shit I'm happy. Soon it will be cookies and dream to smoke. I have them hangin but the humidity is less then 20 percent. Am I in trouble?


any ideas on what to do with the leaves and clippings? Not to interested into doing anything with flammable product. I got kids in house, wife wouldn't let me if I tried.

Non-flammable you say? Sometimes I like to use my trim towards butter in the following ratio: 1lb of butter per 1 1/2 oz trim.

You can do the crock pot method if you have one, if not I personally use the double-pot method.

-Larger pot has boiling water in it, smaller pot inside of that has sticks of butter melting...add trim when the butter melts, let it simmer (stirring here and there) for roughly a half hour - fourty five min, or until the butter is dark green. Push the butter through a cheese cloth, toss the trim, then refridge the butter.

Good times.

Butter and oil is we're I was thinking. I don't think I have enough for bubble hash. Thanks for the help. I love the double boil method, I use it in the kitchen often.

It's a little bit low, generally I think you try to shoot for about 50%.

You could always use a humidifier to up it a little bit. LOL, I have even heard of people hanging wet towels in the drying area, Heh.

As long as you have a hygrometer, you should be fine.

But I have dried my buds out at this humidity before, I just made sure to watch the buds like a hawk, and jar em up right when they needed to be. They still turned out tasty.

The only thing to worry about is if it dries too fast, it sometimes kinda traps in that newly-trimmed bud smell...so it is best to try to drag out the drying process to 4-5 days if you can. (IMO)

I always dry at ambient humidity (except when i am running the swamp cooler) and as long as i am careful to jar the buds when it is time, i can get just a good a cure as slowing the dry. Everyone has there own method, just learn with each experience. Happy smoking!

I have taken a few smokes out of the mason jar and she tastes pretty good. Very smooth. I have been taking gravity bong hits of her and playing video games...a very "spacey" evening. The high is very "hybrid" Has a nice, energetic feel to it. Makes for a pretty big smile a few hits in, and also makes me space out a good amount.
Hehe, all in all a pretty fun high. I enjoy it.
