Pot management (yeah a double entendre)

I'm growing outdoors, in pots. I'm extremely vertically challenged, limited to about 3' (behind a balcony wall). I'm using SCROG. The screen is about 8'x2', there are 9 pots, and 12 plants (some doubles, variety of pot sizes, all terra cotta). This is in SF. We are having a relatively sunny summer so far (only moderate fog and days of sunshine). While I've had a minor issue here and there with individuals, in general I've got a very healthy garden and the screen is filling in very well.

My concern is that because I'm scrogged, transplanting to larger pots is extremely challenging, and not something I want to do. I'm concernd about managing the plants in the latter stages of their life as they really rootball up.

I'm using GrowBig/BigBloom/TigerBloom, but relatively small doses, and only every othe watering. I'm ph adjusting the very alkaline water here in SF to the mid 6's. I'm not aggressively running lots of water when giving pure water, but I am getting some run-through. I'm hoping this is a regimen that will keep them happy and healthy all the way through. Is there any advice is best plant management given my challenge around repotting? To put it simply, am I going to have trouble before harvest time? Do I need to do more aggressive flushing with lots more water, for example?

5 females so far, and no males yet knock on wood (this from seemly random grab bag seeds, lovely!).

Thanks,

Terra Cotta pots are one of the worst kind of pots you can use for cannabis, they tend to get very hot outdoors. I am not too sure about repotting with a scrog. It doesn't sound like it would be something too gentle on the plant though. Hopefully one of the many experts on this forum will chime in.

Re: terracotta getting too hot, okay, something to consider for next time (or this time if I'm forced into a crazy repotting situation). It is SF...heat doesn't tend to be a problem!!! A hot day here is 75F, and that's not all that common.

Terracotta also draws the moisture out of the soil.

No matter the pot size cannabis roots always tend to fill it. As long as you keep it watered and fed and happy it should be fine. I wouldnt be attempting a repot under a scrog

o..and no water like normal. A little run off is good but you dont need to run large amounts of water thru..Thats just going to deplete the soil of nutes and make the roots unhappy.

i would frame it in with some wood 2x10 or something, remove or break the pots and fill the bed with soil. but it am crazy like that.

No, this is my small deck off my bedroom. I'm not building anything there. Just a little garden in pots. It's amazing how much work the SCROG is if you want to keep it truly flat and low. Almost every day 15 minutes of bending tucking pulling and patting back to shape. I'm suspicious I'm going to have to find a way to bend colas, but that problem is down the road a bit. Meanwhile, I've quite the hedge developing.IMG_0406.JPG
