pot too narrow?!!

had my first girl in a round outdoor pot ....about 1 1/2 gallons but wide.. i went to re-pot her last night in one of my square 3 gallon pots. I checked the diameter twice, it was a little tight but seemed to be do able. Well my friends.. I WAS WRONG.... after using the normal steps of repotting when i went to put her in there the root ball was too wide... so i tried to push her down in (not too hard or much)and refilled around her with soil ,then made a mound around what was left of any exposed root ( made a mound like you would see around trees) I'M SCARED SHITLESS
Like a child that needs reassurance...
DO YOU THINK IT'LL SURVIVE?????????
its been 8 hours so far and no change BUT, its's probably still growing in the old root mass i'd imagine
ANYONE WHO MADE THIS MISTAKE ..OR HAS ANY INFO.. it be greatly appreciated

it will be fine you might a little shock but i wouldnt be worried if i was you

If your gonna do it..Do it now while its already stressed..If you wait a few days and then do it you'll just weaken it more..I forget the ratio of plant size vs. pot size i'll have to look it up..But if it was me and i was worried id do it now
