Yeah I assumed that a thousand people have asked before, but I figured I would ask. Questions, who is we?

There is some K in the Roots base. Sub has said that he is not opposed to added kelp meal. It is buried somewhere in the super soil thread. Of course there is always room for improvement. Dioxide has been working on a new super soil and I'd be willing to bet it has more K in it.

I reuse super soil but I add less P and more K. It has been said that too much P can be detrimental for microbes but it does tend to leach out in outdoor grows. Blackstrap molasses is loaded with K so I water that in. I also use homemade EWC that includes organic bananas and peels.

....i am finding that it has enough, if a roots base, or something similar is used with the proper blend of K rich castings, compost, and kelp....but they have to be made (compost/castings) of the proper constituants, and i wouldn't trust roots for whats on the label imho..........that being said.....i have been adding comfrey for the extra K, and sucanat.....which is loaded with x-tra nutes...also going a bit lighter on P, cause i believe too much causes insufficient burning.....(black instead of gray)

.....Sucanat is rich in minerals (calcium, iron, magnesium, phosphorus, and potassium) trace elements (chromium, copper, zinc, and other) and vitamins. Like other whole foods such as brown rice and whole wheat, Sucanat contains up to 3% mineral salts, while brown and turbinado sugars contain only 0.5%.
