Also, you have a MH and HPS bulbs currently running. You only need the HPS if you are flower (and you are). One hood 18"-24" away from the tops. Keep it simple.
Mad_Prof, Thanks for all the help, truly appreciated. It is hard to tell from the pics, but take a look around for anything that looks like a little web. White spots on leaves are never good.
YOU HAVE MOAR LIGHT IN YOUR 2FT X 4FT TENT THAN I HAVE IN MY 4FT X 8FT TENT.Picture of my light setup
Right?I know why it is hot now.
If you're that close to finishing, some people recommend finishing with the MH bulb. Either way, thats a lot of light for that little tent.Mad_Prof, Thanks for all the help, truly appreciated.
Don't sweat it bro, that's why I'm here.Mad_Prof, Thanks for all the help, truly appreciated.
Honestly just thought with more light more density, hitting both spectrums. Also read a lot about outdoor plants going into the 100 fine so I figured the plant would be able to take it, but kinda getting worried. I have had the lights in the whole time, I have a canfan, not a booster, to draw the air. I was going to just add an A/c in a few weeks, but I don't want to be tripping over dollars to make nickles, if I will gain something from it, then I would add the A/C. Have you had 2000w in the 2ftx4ft this whole time?
I don't see the point of adding blue light towards the end of the cycle. The red spectrum is what the plants are seeking during flower. If you're that close to finishing, some people recommend finishing with the MH bulb. Either way, thats a lot of light for that little tent.

Mad_Prophessor, I have read around where people say Flower in Blue (More Trichome/Resin Production) for Connoisseur Bud, and Flower in Red for Yield Figured, I would try to get the best of both worlds.I don't see the point of adding blue light towards the end of the cycle. I think outdoor plants can handle the heat because of the temp differential from rootzone to canopy. Roots stay cool enough even if canopy is hottttHonestly just thought with more light more density, hitting both spectrums. I chuckled when I read this. I have been doing this for 20 years and have never heard that nor would I try to confuse my plants by giving them blue light.Mad_Prophessor, I have read around where people say Flower in Blue (More Trichome/Resin Production) for Connoisseur Bud, and Flower in Red for Yield Figured, I would try to get the best of both worlds.
Genpasha, I do have a small black oscillating fan point at the canopy, I have a 6" CanFan pulling the air, are you saying to add another? I saw where Mad_Prophessor said I needed a second intake fan.Same scenario here. I have mine in the garage with a 6" in line fan attached to the lights and vented outside. The tent is a 4x8 with 2 600 watt lights. the lights run at night and no need for an ac with proper ventilation. An inexpensive option would be to take a look at a duct fan. Either a 4" or 6" based on the size of the port that is on the hood for that small of a tent. Also is there an oscillating fan in there?
Like I said, this is a new concept to me. I will try it out in one of my flower chambers on the next run. I have enough hoods and bulbs around to try it out. I also use 4x8 tents for the flower chambers with 600s in them. I tried 1000s, but they just get too hot during the summer months.I think outdoor plants can handle the heat because of the temp differential from rootzone to canopy. Nor do I, but I've seen it suggested by growers whom I respect. I don't have extra lights to be switching stuff out so I'll probably never know...
I've flowered under HPS and CMH and gotten superb results both ways. This next run I'm thinking about putting both CMH and HPS in the flower tent to see how they do! But my tent is 4x8, not 2x4
You're the Man, thanks again for all the advice. This pic help to visualize what they need. There are two inlines for each of these tents. One draws cool air from outside through the hoods. One draw air through the carbon filter hanging in the back. I have a duct running from outside to a bottom intake port. There is always a fan moving the air around inside the tent though. I hope this helps to make it a little clearer. You can't see either fan, but they are both just outside the tent to the right hanging from the ceiling.
Any time. You're the Man, thanks again for all the advice.
