It can occur naturally. Chances are whatever you are buying is chemically derived and not mined from deposits.

Not dead sure it's organic, but Sub uses it for his veganic soil. I've seen it at local garden superstores. cn

Sulfate of potash and sulfate of potash magnesia are both fine for organic production. There are a few natural\mined mineral sources.
