Have a small walk in measuring 4.5' L x 5.5'W. 8 foot ceilings and access to attic through closet to exhaust room. Thinking about running with a 600w cool tube. Noobie so just curious what the recommended number of plants in a space of this size and if the lighting would be correct or if I should go with something bigger. Havent purchased anything yet just trying to get a little advice. Thanks in advance.

Ehh I would avoid the tent, I put a tent in my closet and ended up pulling of the skin and just using the frame.

Do what you will but a tent is the best way to go. Light, cooling, Hangers. Remember you are going to need complete darkness in flower and if you are doing veg as well then you end up with a very expensive getto closet.

Want to make sure the plants have room for proper air flow and light. Can I expect to get a decent yield. And dont think im going to go the tent route. Was eventually planning on buying one of the pre-fabbed cabs off the internet, then decided since this is my first grow going soil was the way to go. That and setting up the closet is about a 3rd of the startup costs. Looking to get a finished crop of a lb minimum.

Well, according to the instructions on the Hydrofarm site (http://www.hydrofarm.com/pb_detail.php?itemid=3870) [click on the "light systems instructions" link to download a pdf file], a 400w HPS would provide enough illumination for a 5' x 5' area. I'm sure there are folks here that would advise you to go bigger, though.

Was thinking maybe 10 plants. Prob starting from seed. Veg and flower all in same area.
you need to veg these seeds, so the plants will grow big before you can flower, if you aim for 8 plants top them then train and tie them to make an even canopy you will get a big yield
