Potentiometer working funny

Hey everyone, I ended up getting the hgl 260 v2 rspec diy kit and put it together today. All went well except for that the potentiometer works all funky. Sometimes it dims, other times it doesn't. It's like it has to be sitting a certain way to work right and I can't get it to sit that way for long. I have the driver mounted on top, wires zipped to the driver.

The driver is the xlg 240-m-ab. Any help would be appreciated, I am a complete noob at these lights.

You sure the solder junctions on the pot are good?

You got a pic of how it has to sit in order to function?

I don't have any pics on my phone and I'm away from home for the night working now, but basically it has to be sitting flat essentially and resting on the heatsink rather than hanging off.

I'm not sure about the solder junctions honestly, it came presoldered. Could it be the connection in the wago maybe? Thats all I did with it was attach it to the wires with the wago's.

Thanks for the reply airwalker, the pot im using came with the kit. Ill have to order another one to try. In the meantime can I just remove the pot and dim it down internally the same way I would if it didn't have the dim leads?

So there's no solder joints on it at all, right?

You most certainly can. Just be aware it only dims to around the half way point and also cap off the leads independently from each other.
