Powdery Mildew? You need Silica!!

OP made a statement of fact. "You need silica" If you think you need silica boosters to grow weed or prevent PM I have alot of other great scams for you to buy into. I wonder how anyone ever grew weed or delt with PM before Silica? Silica is the new Cal Mag
You're missing the entire point of, well, EVERYTHING. How are you seeing "very promising" as a statement of fact? The whole point of this thread, and Bruce Bugbee's video, is the PROMISING USAGE of potassium silicate.

You're taking opinion as an absolute. NOBODY ANYWHERE here is making any absolute claim. :wall::wall::wall: omfg with some people

Silica is a proven, effective treatment for PM, and has been for decades; it's established science at this point.
Please provide some tangible evidence to support your claims refuting the efficacy of silica treating PM, opinions are worthless.

One of dozens of studies regarding silica and PM:

A new video from Dr. Bruce Bugby.
Either added to media or to solution, silica is very promising.
I'm adding wollastonite to my next run. :bigjoint:
I call BS if you got pm indoor ya room is fucked up,I get pm every yr growing out door a penny worth of citric acid kills pm on contact The silica in rice hulls take many months to break down an release to the plant just a bunch of BS any high PH or Low PH spray will kill PM spores

Yes but many other things do the same for pennys.

I used silica as part of my IPM, along with Regalia and Venerate. Money very very well spent. No bug of pm issues since I incorporated them. All 3 make your plants stronger.

No you don't need them, but they are great protection, and stronger plants equals bigger buds.

I watched athena interview this guy they are obviously paying him, trying to ask the right string of questions to get him to say "high EC is better". Don't trust these shills, you don't need silica.
Bruce Bugbee isn't going to risk a LIFETIME OF REPUTATION for a few bucks from Athena.

Jesus, what's wrong with people anymore that you don't trust ACCREDITED PROFESSIONALS?? Why are you so against science, bro?

What studies have YOU done that have been funded by NASA? We'll wait.

That's because they are dangerous as hell
A spoon is dangerous in the wrong hands. No more dangerous than any treatments you use. I set mine to a timer to run for 2 hours, then I set my exhaust fans set to run for 2 hours before I open it up. The only thing I would change from that is I would run it 1 hour if I ever had to use it again. Like I said, I live in a rain forest and mold is a constant. Humidity here runs typically 80-100 percent, sometimes for months in rainy season. I barely smelt anything in my tent after re-entering and problem solved. I do still run my dehumidifiers at 50% 24 hours a day in both rooms but have never had a mold or pm issue again.

Wrong...Regalia and Venerate are both certified organic.

Is a sulfur burner safe?

Inhaling the gas from burning sulfur can cause coughing, sore throat, shortness of breath, and sinus problems. Eyes may become irritated, red, or painful and eye damage may be irreversible. Handling or touching sulfur without gloves may cause skin irritation.

LOL, Yes your not supposed to breath it when its vapor. Thats why you run it a short time and vent well before entering. I live on the side of a volcano and tourists come all day to stand in the smoke plumes coming up everywhere. Those smoke plumes are sulfur. So clearly you can breath some in, not saying anyone should try…just that tourists are stupid.hahahaha lol j/k

Nobody is saying you need silica.

Silica is deffinently beneficial, both as a soil amendment, hydro amendment, and a foliar IPM.

Bruce Bugbee knows more about plant science than every person on this website, and I'm counting myself twice. If you don't like science, or scientists that have the audacity to use their knowledge to make money, there's a politics section here on RIU that I am sure you will love.

Another paid off "Scientist" Brought to you by Athena. Silica is the new Cal Mag lol. You only need 10 other products after this before you can even consider growing weed.
Bugbees pretty no bullshit if he were a shill he wouldn’t be telling people to grow with cheap basic 20-10-20 salts ie: jacks and a dirt cheap supplement like Ksil he’d be trying to get you to buy 20 different bottles like Advanced Nutrition, bruh is a legit scientist

You should just intake from outside & do away with the burner if that’s the case. :eyesmoke::bigjoint:
LOL, It’s not enough, That and the 100 percent humidity would fill my rooms. I suppose if my tent was on top of one of the volcanic vents it would be enough sulfur but it comes out wet and humid feeling. I’m about a mile from Halemaumau. When it had its big eruption I could stand in the middle of my street and had direct view of the plume. A bit scary…lol
