PPM Probs need advice

So from the beginning I have had nothin but problems with my plant and havent gotten anywhere with it, the roots are still not growing so I decided to buy a TDS meter Got a HM TDS when I first checked the PPM it was about 1100 after the nutes being in the rez for a week, I decided I was just gonna try to flower and if the plant died F*^$ it so I changed the rez today over to flowering nutes and the PPM read 1650 why is it so high I use Technaflora recipe for success following the recipe exactly I have even bought a fancy measuring cup to get exact measurements.

I am using Route 66 for root development and it says 5 ml's per Quart that is 100 ml's for 5 gallons. LOST

stanger,

most of the peeps use 1/4 strength in the beginning.

Heck, my girls in veg never really go over 250-300 ppm

Flowering never goes over 650 ppm.

Just cut way back on all the nutes, way back. Flush everything, I take it your in Hydrotron? Flush it real good.
Measure the tap or r/o ppm level before adding ANY thing. Which do you use, tap or r/o water?

When I transfer from the Veg Lab I make dang sure the Flower Lab Cooler is CLEANED thoroughly and filled with
a mix of r/o and tap 3 to 1 because of the nasty city water. I let the new girl sit in that Clean, Non-Nuted water for a day or two.
Keeping an eye on the ph at 5.8, the res temp between 64-68 f. They love that flush. Then I will add my nutes to get them to 650.
And keep them at that level til harvest adding fresh water, ph down, nutes and maybe some hygrozyme if needed.

Hope that helps.

I use the recipe for success with great success. You're not supposed to use root 66 with the other nutes at the same time. Only supposed to use it for 3-4 days in your bubble or aero cloner after you have a bit of a root system.

If your ppm is that high after following the recipe (which calls for NO root 66 in either veg or bloom, only for "transplanting stage") then what water are you starting with? How high PPM is your tap water?

All measurements in the recipe for success are given per gallon, or per 4 liters. Same thing.

650 Max for me during Veg I never go over 950 PPM during Flower. You are frying your ladies! SLOW is the way to go... It takes me almost 3-4 weeks after seedling pops up to get to max veg nutes. This is using tap town water 250 PPM so BB is right on with his stated PPM's

it has been 8.5 weeks since germination I started slow with quarter nutes and afte 4 weeks was at full strength, I spoke to the owner of the hydro shop and he said to use route 66 with the nutes, it says on the side of the bottle of route 66 to use 5 ml's per quart. I am using RO water and the base of the water is 17 ppm.

Where did you get that from? I use it during my whole veg with great results.

Where did you hear that from? I use it during my whole veg with great results. Just because it doesn't ask for it doesn't mean you can't use it.

Good luck, altho I'll be honest it looks like you're failing and will continue to untill you do more research. Growing isn't as easy as it seems, but ones you get it, you got it :).

I am doing more resaerch as we speak thought it would be cheap and easy, I have made some big mistakess growing my first plant and have learned alot so far. I think the neext plant will do much better.

I used to have a lot of problems with ppms, until I stopped measuring! Now I follow the nute directions week by week and don't worry about it. Plants are doing great. Humboldt nutes, Master A&B
