hm digital tds-ez.i got my meter today so far my RO water is 14 my tap is 74. uhh how the fuck do i tell how much of what to put in this water to get it to the right leval for a plant? then again how do i tell how to read this.200-400 is what the water should be at for drinking. calibrated to NaCI 342 ppm. is this a ph tester or a different kinda tester. i know 7 for the ph is idea for most plants 5 for some but thats depending on fruit. so how do i up the PPM for a better leval? cause its reading very low.

yep,add nutes to your water then check the PPMs because they will raise up,the nutrient bottles should tell you how much nutes to put in per gallon of water.usually my ML or TSP..etc

and when giving plants nutrients make sure your not giving them too much when they are small, start at low PPMs then raise them as the plant gets bigger.

now what kind of nutrients should i put in them? Ive got manure that's almost dried. and egg shells and lime. im tired of the results i see with MG, doesn't work as well as i'd hoped. is their a nutrient solution i can buy or do you know of organic methods ?

PPM testers aren't any good if you are growing in soil. PPM testers are for Hydroponics mostly. They are useful for checking the amount of Hydro nutes in your water, they don't check for things like manure, egg shells etc etc etc.

sorry dont want to kill the plants but need to no what to put in it so i can raise the numbers.
sounds like you should have read a lot more before you try to grow. with out the knowledge or tools needed you are going to kill them.

haha are they still alive? not that it matters since you cant use that with soil but... if you want it to work properly you will have to recalibrate it after you get it from the store. A 1000ppm calibration solution is best. my tsp EZ was off by about 150ppm when i bought it.

Im glad I decided to go with coco :)

btw Ph and ppm are different... ppm= disolved salts(nutrients) Ph = acid or a base on a scale from 1-14

I have heard from some experts that a Ph of 5.8 is perfect for growing cannabis
