Practice run. Wish me luck!

I need to label my clones online. I took clones now I forget which ones where the males and which ones were the females...i have 4 males out of 24 clones and i'll be damned if i know which is which.

Yeah, labelling the pot you grow in is critical, especially with different sexes or strains.

Quick update. We tested a few buds from the taller plant that's been curing for 3 weeks. The smoke is still very very smooth and does not have a pot smell at all. At first we felt very little - slight buzzing but then after about 15 mins, the high came on and it came on with force. We have some creeper weed! The high was nice and mellow and a good change from the heavy shit we've been smoking. It's a nice change-of-pace high for us if we want to be active and actually get shit done.

Ok. It's been a while since the last update. I am nearly at the end of my curing stage right now. The buds from the taller plant have been curing now for almost 5 weeks and those from the smaller plant almost 4 weeks. We've been smoking the bud from the taller one for the last couple days and the smoke is very smoothe and the high really fucks you up. What's interesting to me is to see how the smoke and high have changed as the bud cures. When we first tried some, the high didn't last very long at all and was somewhat mild. Now the high lasts a good 2 hours and it's potent. The bud has no smell when held up to your nose but once you grind it up....woooooieeee...that shit SMELLS! I expect the buds from the smaller one to be even more kickass, based on a sample of under-cured bud we smoked a couple weeks ago. Oh, one last thing, I weighed the dried and cured bud of the taller plant again and we came up with 2.25 oz but as you can see in the attached pics, I need to still trim off some of the leaves, so that weight will go down some. Not bad though for this no-frills grow, I think. Once I am done curing the buds on the smaller plant, I'l weigh again and post pics.

BTW, I've started my next grow - Early Misty and Master Kush, 2 of each. This morning, I checked my seeds and 3 of the 4 had germinated. I transplanted those to the jiffy peatmoss disks. I'll check on the 4th seed tonight. I'll create a new journal once they have sprouted.

Thanks, Ernie. This was bagseed but from some very good regs (mids). At the beginning of this grow, my goal was 2 females and enough bud to keep us for at least a month. I'm guessing we will end up with between 4-5 oz smokable bud, between the 2 plants and that should keep us for about 6weeks. Mission accomplished.

On a side note, we just had a family member mail us some great Cali Kush and we found a couple seeds in it, so we are keeping those to grow some time down the line.

Yeah. I've been saving seeds we find from any good bud we buy for about 4 years now and I'd say I have probably about 75 seeds. Then there's the 20 I bought from Nirvana, so we have close to 100 seeds.

in ideal indoor conditions, i wouldn't be surprised to see 3 week old plants that were 6-10 inches tall. those are ideal conditions. you're growing outdoors, so i'm not worried that your plants are only 4-5 inches tall. they sound fine - just post some pics and give them nutes high in nitrogen for good vegetative growth. don't overdo it though, 1/4 strength like seedlessone says.

So I weighed the cured buds from the smaller plant and I've netted roughly 1 oz. We smoked from this batch all weekend instead of the other plant and all I can say is wow! It is some great shit. The smoke is very smoothe and the high is incredible. When I take a bud out of the jar and sniff it, I don't get that strong marijane aroma. It smells like dried hay but once you grind that shit up......whoooaaaa....you can smell the overwhelming and very strong scent. I could smell the ground up herb from 5 feet away, it's so strong! I am pretty confident if I wanted to sell, I could charge $120 for 1/4 oz easy. The only downer is that it has a major couch lock effect. Take about 4 or 5 bong hits and you are toast for the next couple of hours. I also found a couple of random seeds in this batch too, btw. I made sure we did most of our house chores early Saturday morning..heheheh...

So, in summary, I netted somewhere north of 3.5 oz. Figuring in an average price of $100 for 1/4 oz (highgrade is $120 and regs/mids is $90 where I live), that's $1400 worth of pot I ended up with. My investment from start to finish was about $400. So I "saved" roughly $1k from this grow in weed I won't need to purchase from my dealer over the next few weeks. Mission accomplished!

Barring any questions, this will probably be my last update to this journal. I've already begun my new grow and I'll be creating a journal in the grow journal section to chronicle that soon. my first grow was from bagseed all indoors from a bag of outdoors that had a alright high, not very potent but smelled real good. i usually get real good bud for cheap! well anyways when i smoked what i grew it was amazing. don't laugh but i only got an 1/8 off of it.
out of the stuff u bought and the stuff u grew which was the best smoke?

Hands down the best smoke I've had is some Cali Kush. Smooth, long lasting with a real nice stone.
