the stretch as to do with lighting, and strain. if you keep your lights on for 24 you wont get stretch. but when you start to put the lights off there gonna stretch in the dark. you cant really say how much stretching expect about 4-6 inches per node

you're just going to have to keep tying the branches and main stem down every couple of days. of you can use a product called bushmaster, helps to stop stretching and helps plant throw themselves into flower faster. made my humboldts. i just used it in my pc dwc grow. worked well. took a few waterings but in case you are really running out of space then thats an option.
hope that helped.

indaca will sometimes double in height in 2 weeks or so a sativa might triple in 3 weeks or so

grab a cmfortible spot with two fingers squezz it a little will crunch take other hand and bend top down to about 90 deg. then take string wire or something tie tip to main stem loosely not to cut off circulation or it will be back up in two days and you will feel like a expert when you look at it in three days when all bud sites are standing up

good luck

If you are growing indoors, what I have noticed is that when I make my switch into flowering, I do not gradually reduce the light schedule. I just make the switch straight to 12/12. For the indica doms this has proven ( for me) to really stop any stretching or keep it to a bare minimum. Sometimes, some genetics will be a tad stunned, but this will also stop the stretch factor as well. I hope I was able to help out some.
