Pre Grooming

I usually pre groom only my big fan leaves about a week before harvest. Ive left them on til the very end before not really seeing any difference. I see posts saying leave them on but, I choose to remove them. what do I affect the final outcome when I pregroom a week before harvest IMO nothing... but would like to hear your thoughts.

Even if there is no benefits to leaving the fan leaves on I dont see what the benefits would be when cutting them off?

I do it to make trim day go by a little quicker
