Imo, your whole approach is too black and white, and that's exactly what the people who promise such things depend on.

If you can't accept and appreciate the grey areas, these laws will have a more difficult time deteriorating under their own weight.

Protecting/defending your own ideology is one thing, but beyond its own goal is another.

The Obama admin is just as against recreational marijuana as any of its predecessors because its sponsors are.

Are you saying had the guy not made such a public statement, the DEA would have left him alone? I'm positive it was out of frustration to begin with..

Watch the clip I posted, he was following state guidelines, yet DEA still raided him, as it does many people well within their legal state guidelines, the same legal state guidelines the Obama administration has said they won't prosecute.

Obama/DOJ/DEA say "we won't focus on people well within their legal state guidelines", growers well within the guidelines are raided and prosecuted.

Where's the defense?

i looked and could not find anything much other than him setting up shop in costa mesa where dispensaries were not allowed. no idea about how much he was pushing the envelope with his operation.

so as of now, i'll rule this a possible.

So is it ok if I grow a 1000 plants, makes tens of thousands of dollars a day, pocket most of the money and call myself a compliant non profit medical marijuana grower and not pay any taxes or try to write off my expenses even though it is against IRS rules? Just wondering.

That didn't make the venture State-noncompliant. I was under the impression that the argument was about the Fed leaving State-compliant dispensaries alone. Costa Mesa's opinion is of little interest in that context. cn
