Preferred temps at the end of flower?

What’s everybody’s opinion on what the temperature should be at the end of flower? I’ve tried multiple ways of dropping temps, keeping it the same(78F) throughout, etc. Also I tried lowering light intensity with both cold and warm temps during the last couple weeks. Anyway I’m just curious to hear what people like or the results seen, thanks.

Kinda depends on the strain. Most indicas would prefer lower temps, Sativas like it hot for the most part. In general I like to keep my temps as low as possible in flower which for me is 72-75. There are times where my tent hits 78-79 and I really haven’t noticed a difference in growth

The last few weeks under qb's I drop down to 72-74f/40-45% rh

I just prefer my results that way, yes it changes it for me.

Very Interesting! Typically I like indica and indica dom strains. However I’m talking about more at the end of flower do you notice anything different

Are qbs leds? What changes for you and what are the things you see differently opposed to keeping temps the same throughout flower?

It changes the way my bud dries, it comes out tighter and doesn't gas off as much while drying, sometimes it also brings out a little color.

Never really looked into why it comes out differently but i will say years ago i used to be against it until a grower here at RIU asked me to try it & i never looked back.

Maybe @Renfro could tell us why? He also dives temps at the end and if I remember correctly he uses also uses qb strips (hlg quantum board led), which heavily lack the IR needed for optimum leaf temps.

I try to be around 68-75 degrees.. I mostly run hybrids.. they seem to be ok.. cmh & qb.. only good for the winter though!!

Great thread for a relative newbie like me. I've grown for 4+ years but have only one grow with HLG 550 V2 (QBs). I learned about leaf temp, LEDs and IR on RIU so I ran about 82 F throughout flower. Great grow but one of two strains in a 4x4 foxtailed quite a bit (Nirvana OG Kush). I think it was from high temps but I only had 18" light clearance above the plant that foxtailed the most. The leafs seemed a little cooked too. I'm thinking I need to lower my temps next grow but would love some opinions on why they foxtailed.

I would have to agree that it was probably the high temps. Foxtailing can also be strain dependent from what I’ve noticed

Probably a combo of all those things. I've had new strains I introduced to the garden and they foxtail with the same amount of light and same environment as my other strains and foxtail.
