Preferred time of year to grow?

I just started my second grow in a 2x4 tent with a short break after my first grow which began in December.
Being in western Canada there are obvious differences most noticeably with temperature in and around the grow tent.
Since it's warm, I was thinking of bringing my plants outside, part time, for some natural light.
Just wondering if anyone else has a seasonal preference for growing?

In midwest US you must have air conditioning to grow indoors during Summer. Less costly here, as far as equipment goes, to grow indoors October through April. Only need cheap heaters. Run outdoor in the summer.

If you're taking your babies outside for fresh air, be sure to treat for bug pests.

Like @Tracker said be prepared for bugs if you let your ladies outside to play. I have a strict rule about that. Once outside never in the grow room. Outside the weather and natural predators generally keep the bugs down but once inside it's nirvana for them and they can quickly overwhelm the room.

If you have a sunny window I'd use that instead.

Thanks OldMed for the tip. I'll keep them inside. They're going stay indoor kids.

I'd like to go one step further and isolate from indoor plants as well. I once had a spider mite infection on indoor plants, that I saved from room. Isolation of plants indoors (no touching leaves/pots), easy spinosad spray n drench, worked like a charm! The best defense is PM (preventative maintenance) haha

Generally September-May is the best time for me since it's cool. June-August just gets too hot in the tent and humidity gets hard to control.

I lived in Alberta for a while and let me tell you is it ever hot and dry out there, at least the southern parts. Would be a great climate for outdoor growing.

Hot and a bit humid atm in northern Alberta. My autos are loving it out there tho.
