lots of 8-9 week strains out there.. super skunk & skunkberry I just grew were (around 30% amber trichomes at that point)10 weeks minimum... no strains I have grown go in 9 weeks...

Yeah i think the sore throats more due to it still has lots of copper chlorophyll in it as well as excess moisture but obviously a proper dry and cure sorts that right out i dont get a headache if its a bit wet but ripe when cut but it will still be harsher on my throat for sure tho ive only really got a headache from early stuff suppose everyones different that way manIf weed isn't properly dried I will get a fat headache and sore throat after smoking it that lasts for hours. You need to not only make sure the buds are ready to harvest but more importantly cure and trim it properly. Some really leafy Thug Rose I grew gave me a sore throat every time I smoked it cause it dried too fast due to genetically airy buds and it had a lot of leaf on the buds. Plants right next to it were chopped at the same time and took an extra 4-5 days to dry and were way smoother no sore throat or weird stuff like that..
