Pressure to develop a better vaccine.

OK, so you prefer capitalism. In your earlier post you complained about companies making profits. You seem confused.

Oh I complained huh?

I think you’re assuming.

The original post is asking why there isn’t pressure to make more effective vaccines.

The article I linked may be an indication as to why, they’ve got a cash cow already.

Now they’re moving on to “new treatments”

I wonder if socialized medicine would have produced all these vaccines as quickly? If government takes over, and it’s no longer profit driven, will it effect the development of newer advanced drugs and treatment?

we’re already in an unsustainable situation

i believe the sputnik and sinovac were both produced before pfizer. so that kinda kills your theory

Germany paid for the development of the shot.
the most effective vaccine was made in socialized medicine germany without a dollar from the US

CUCK
You beat me to it, I had Germany paying for it and the lead researcher being a child of immigrants, Syria if memory serves.

Why isn't this happening? Instead of pressuring the Scrooge mcduck money pile pharma industry to develop a working vaccine that prevents infection and transmission they're pushing what's basically a prophylactic treatment?

You mean like this?
Coronaviruses – animal model and vaccine development

Coronaviruses are a diverse group of viruses that include Middle East respiratory syndrome coronavirus (MERS-CoV), and porcine epidemic diarrhea virus (PEDV). It is likely that many of these viruses originate in bats, and through intermediate hosts they cross the species barrier to cause disease in humans, livestock and domestic animals.

There is no effective vaccines for MERS-CoV, and current coronavirus vaccines, when available, offer limited protection against divergent viruses. For MERS-CoV, which is maintained in camels, we have developed an alpaca model. This model will allow different vaccine strategies to be assessed for protection.

A larger goal is the development of a pan-coronavirus vaccines that could provide protection against multiple strains or cluster of viruses. Using structural biology and protein engineering we propose to develop vaccines that enhance cross-protection against different coronaviruses.

Great question. The control group is only 10 times more likely to catch covid and 11 times more likely to go to hospital or die than the folks who took the so called vaccine. I can see why people who don't understand math would have doubts.

The only down side to these studies is the control group keep shrinking. A lot are taking the vaccine, but an additional 1400 a day are doing their part for good science by dying from covid. Sure it's easy to make fun of them, but without a control group we wouldn't know how effective the vaccines are at keeping us alive and well.

How do you know there isn't? Most of the people here are intelligent enough to know that there is more to it than just guilefully posing a question without bothering to look to see the answer.

Oh, and Tucker Calrson called - he wants his shtick back.

So you really latched onto that "ask an innocent question" thing didn't you?

Powerful stuff - if you are used to addressing idiots. Have you tried grasscity?

Hating cops makes perfect sense to weed people, since we've been suffering ridiculously harsh treatment by badged rednecks for....fucking weed of all things. And just because don't do the "I don't like trump, but suddenly want some form of anarchy after he lost" doesn't mean we love government authority, it just means we're not ignorant and narcissistic jerkoffs.
