Pretty stoked and thought I would share my closet setup

As you can see from the pics, this is a somewhat hidden closet. The door to the bedroom stays open and hides the closet behind it. I showed a 420 friendly buddy the setup, and he didn't even know that closet existed, and he's known me for over 4 years now.

I have 4 15W T8s, 2 15W T5s and a 100W CFL. I've been pretty paranoid about the lighting, but I think I have found a good mix for the are that I'm growing in. The next step is to cover the walls in mylar and put in a charcoal canister--maybe next weekend.

With the door open to the room, it hides the closet.

Door closed, I can get to my grow. Weather stripping seals the door, so no light escapes when the room is dark. Multiple fans in the bedroom that run 24x7 cover what little noise is made.

Shot from a distance. I have a couple of "herbs" in there right now. This is still in veg, has been for 8 or so weeks, but only just recently moved inside under lighting from the back yard. I'm wanting more sprouts and a thicker stem before I flower. This is my first grow from bag seed--I'm just doing this for self supply, so everything is small and low-key. You can see I have a few other herbs going as well: thyme, rosemarry, thai basil and a newly planted clone of mint. After I finished building this out and setting everything up, I sat in the dark room watching plants grow while self-medicating :eyesmoke:

I, by no means, have this 100% figured out, so any suggestions for improvements or additions are welcomed. I will only ever have 2 to 3 plants growing at any given time, and I'm going to enclose the bottom of that table to start another clone/veg area so when the main room is flowering, I can have the next batch in veg.

420!

I'd top the bitch. Then on the revegg I'd try to get the nodes super tight by getting the lights closer and avoiding the stretch. She looks a little leggy for that set up. Otherwise cool man.

Yea homes, your gonna have issues when you flower if you don't top or low stress train that lady... leggy but happy looking plant, did you say it was bag seed? you gonna use a HPS to flower? that would help but heat will need to be dealt with one way or another.

Yeah, its just bag seed. I hadn't planned on using the HPS. I was just going to use the T8s. I can't find the ballast for the HPS that will work off the socket. Any ideas? I've been scouring home depot and lowes because its easy. Thanks for the feedback. I do appreciate it.

bump... wondering where you guys think I should top this thing.. I was thinking lower down on the plant, although I'd hate to lose the growth I have thus far. Also contemplating staking/tying up the stem without topping.

dont let the clone be "soaked" most noobs kill clones with too much water. Just alittle moist will do it, and if you got a dome and arent living in the desert take the dome off at day 3 or 4.

So I used a little rooting hormone and planted last night. This morning, the clone has wilted pretty good. I took the entire top that I cut off and tried to replant that. I haven't read anywhere where that's a bad idea, but most all clone threads I've read have been on much smaller cuts.

yeah big clones can transpire to much water, and with no roots the girl cant replace it. Another prob with big clones is they have harder stems, and just seem to root slower. Did you trim off the extra leaves? meh i dont know man, it's tough to start cloning with just one. It's better to get one vegged out and practice like ten to twenty at a time. You'll get it. Don't fuck with it too much.

good luck and be safe

Figured I would share the good news; the big clone took and is starting to open it's leaves again. I trimmed all of the larger leaves off of it and just left the top growth and the tiny new leaf sprouts. It sagged for a few days, then it started to straighten up and open up, and it's looking healthy.
