(Price matters) Favorite Tent and LED?

So I used to grow a few years ago but had to stop for a bit. I had an Apollo tent which was great and might get another, as I feel gorilla for example is unnecessary.

I have a 600W digital phantom ballast, but I was debating on going to LED to help prevent the tent from getting so hot.. it will be in a basement during the winter so that helps.

I mean I already have the ballast, granted it’s a few years old now and I’m not sure if I should be worried about that?

I worry about getting cheaper LEDs but maby the price has gotten more reasonable in the last few years. You know what I mean? Any brands you suggest?

For good 'NA' leds your gonna be paying about 2$ ish a watt. If you don't care about ordering from China you can get basically the same shit for 1$ a watt before delivery. If you don't want to spend that you might not want to buy LED.

Ok it looks like I have some more reading to do, I kinda feel like an ass asking. Don’t want to seem lazy, LED is just one thing I don’t have any knowledge in. Thanks bud.

well i got a cheap greengo one and its been doing the job but i can only pull 8 ounces max i would get a 1600w king LED they usually come with uv glasses so thats good

if you wanna go cheap get a 1500w led by philizon from amazon for $110 and you can gro about a pound. or two actually i seen someone grow 15 oz with the same light power i have right now

Hello Kind Sir. I purchased a grow tent and LED light a month ago and I'm so far happy with my purchase (below are the links). I think it's great you're thinking about growing again and looking into new technology. Also you're not an ass for asking. I've included another link below with some interesting information. It's a video by Dr. Bruce Bugbee (a Utah State University professor that grows cannabis) with detailed information about lighting. In the video he uses a quantum sensor to test the PPFD of two LED lights and explains the importance of daily light integral (which is the total amount of photons in a directed area over a 24 hour period). One more thing... The next article on the link is a story about a greenhouse farm that improved their grow by switching to LEDs from HPS. Good luck with the research and future grow!

Hey that video he put at the bottom is long but ive watched it before and he is a really good teacher thatll tell you EVERYTHING you need to know about growing but after the video never underestimate! cheap fans are as good as fans you can speed up and slow down you will always need a heater so just invest in a good one

just know plants outside live on their own and you keeping the environment perfect is just a bonus they will be fine as long as you study up a bit again i didnt when i started thinking i remembered and screwed up alot of things because ive only grown outdoor and i have a big head

You will need 3-4 of those lights for that size of a tent.

i would do 2 only if your trying to get 1 pound each plant which would really fill up the room and make it difficult to move in and you would end up lollipopping it bit if you get 1 light you can pull about 4 oz each plant easy

Ok thanks for the links and everything guys!! One thing I was reading is that if you put the LEDs together yourself, you can save a lot of money. True?
If that was the case, I could use the money saved and buy quality components. I don’t want anything too fancy, as I don’t want to spend the money on it but I want something one would say is a quality light.
I’d also need multiple because I want good power for my flowering tent, and I’ll also have a veg area as well.

For $1000 you can have easily 3 lights ranging from 150-350 watts
