i dont think there saying all mexiweed is trash, just the way most of the weed from there is grown. i have a plant from reg seed growing now, idk what strain but its pure sativa. been flowering for fuck over 16 weeks now and still not done. it smells like dank. a close friend grew out some reg seeds and while it wasnt the strongest, it def could have been sold as dank though.

depends on the strain. my ww go for 10-11 weeks. i knew some outdoor strains flowered for a long time, but this is a first for me.
 
that's an important distinction that's rarely made; "bagseed" can mean one of several things: there's your hermie produced seed from domestic stuff and there's the Mexican, naturally pollinated (by actual male plants) seeds. As you discovered, the perils of those Mexican seeds include ridiculously long flowering periods. I've done it both ways & I recommend buying seeds.

it isn't that the weed is trash, it is that it is poorly grown, packaged, marketed and funds one of the bloodiest wars in recent memory...

i'll grow those genes all day long, but you'll never see me giving those MURDERERS my hard earned...

also: if you can't distinguish it between a brick of weed and a beautiful shiny bud, then you DESERVE to smoke that schwag...

now if you travel an hour to marquette you really get fucked. hard to even find commercial anymore but its like $35 for garbage. sometimes $50 but usually $60 for an 8th of medical. always something good though like blue dream, purple urple, og kush, etc.

now myself, i grow my own and pay nothing. i give equal shares to my patients free of charge. but they have to chip in on electricity and equipment, more than a fair deal but i love doing it as a hobby. however my old operation was too small to support all of our smoking habits so when we run out, i just get an ounce of good shit for $360 and split it with my good friends at no extra cost except what i get charged. i dont even fuck with garbage anymore. someone offers me a hit of it i say no. they try selling me some i want to laugh at them. my new operation is by no means large scale but should be enough to support my patients and my habits. plus some extra to make edibles.

Amen, but that's still a broad generalization, and granted most of it's trash by the time it gets here.
 
I'm not sure how much the dirt bud is going for.. since I don't smoke nor buy it.

But, as far as the KB goes.. well here's a run down:

There's currently a wonderful strain going around the city.. called 'Willy Wonka' (fucking incredible! 2 hits and your stoned.. no bs either.)
here's the current prices for the Willy Wonka:

1/8th(dub sak) - $60
1/4th(quarter oz) - $120
1/2(half oz) - $240
1 OZ - $400

and its worth every freaking bit! I bought a quarter 2 weeks ago.. and I still have a good fat dub left from it. And believe me, if a quarter can last my smoking ass this long... it IS worth the money... period. In fact, I called my buddy earlier today to see if I could get another quarter.. going back tonite and getting another one. But yeah, this shits totally worth the money.

But in my area SC i could get Blue Dream and Maui Wowie like a couple of months ago and now its like NYC Sour Diesel and Juicy Fruit...so yeah it like rotates in sets of 2 lol
and its $20/g and $200-230/half oz.

1/2 zip is 110-150

prices are rediculous here and it never changes...you gotta watch what you buy . You can buy blueberry for the same price as shwag.......its senseless bullshit

It's based off of standard street prices that people are getting. If you're getting top shelf for 220 you clearly know a dealer very well and he knows ur a consistent buyer so you get a discount. Those are the average prices factoring in people like you who are getting discounts and being balanced out by the chump high schoolers paying $25 a gram for schwag
 
The price of weed is whatever you can find that a customer will pay. Price discovery works on the black market just like it does in the "Free market".
 
it was pretty accurate where i am as far as street prices go. i get some sweet deals here and there, but mostly smoke my own shit when i can.

I really agree. To me, this seems to be one of the most important things. Whether the market is flooded or dry, its always the customer's pockets that determine what the price of weed will be during any given time period.

Anyway, around here the prices have been on a freefall until very recently. Zips of top-quality outdoor aren't even fetching $150. People are dumping pounds and pounds of Sour D and Bubba for 15 all day :( Gotta know someone in the game with connections nowadays it seems. Oh well, nothing to do but pick a jar, roll up, and monitor the situation hehe.
