Hey guys, just wanted to show some of the newbies or non-LST'ers exactly what a plant looks like after LST'ing it. This is a Master Kush plant grown from a Nirvana seed. I did not top it at all, just an LST. Oh, and one shoot was pulled to make a clone. Other than that, she's all natural other than the LST.
Here's little MK plant. So small and nice. This pic is from 10/29:
Water her well so she's got some bendability to her.. The next day after a good watering should do. I used floral wire wrapped in a loop to go around the main branch, then anchor the wire down to the rim of the pot. I did it in two spots. After about 45 mins under the light, the tip of the plant turns up.
Now we got a nice 90° angle, I throw her into flowering. Pretty much after that I forget about the LST. Every once in a while I'd pull the main shoot down a bit so it's lower than the other shoots.. but all the shoots that would have been long stringy shoots are now all the same size and height.
Fast Forward to today (1/3) and she's almost ready.. Lots of leaves have fallen so you can see the shoots pretty clearly and how they have grown.. Each cola is almost the same size as the main big one.
See how purty?!
As for size, the entire plant is 19" from the soil surface. The big main cola is 10" of that 19!! hahaa... If you are a small grower this is a good way to maximize your yield but still keep short plants!!!
Good Luck!
