Over my years of gardening I have found gnats or ants or bugs in almost every kind of amendments and mediums out there. Most of those bags have vent holes also. Not a big deal usually. My own castings are full of life. Absolutely love their ProMoss!

I have not. I've used it for something like 5 rounds now and haven't had a single gnat or anything.

This 100%. Good castings mixed in should take care of typical pests. Top dressing with my own ewc completely eliminated fungus gnats.

That's all I have been using last few years ( with the mycohrizza already added) .
I don't know if one's better than the other. Last bag coat me 32$ ( the big bags , 3.8
cubic Meters I think ) .

Dr earth, gia green, espoma. Fish poo, kelp, ewc, alfalfa, guano, humic/fulvic.
