hi guys

i was hoping someone could identify the problem im having with my plants

they are between 16 and 19 days old now, from the day they broke out from the soil

i am using potting dirt (not too good im afraid) at about 35% with perlite, sand, moss, and a tad of guano for the remaining 65%.
theyre growing from a pack of indoor seeds i got in holland.
theyre at 18/6 light with a 250w lamp (mh) suspended say 10 inches above them, added some small fans now also to stir the air.
temperature in there is not really hot and it does get a bit chilly in the night but thats when the lamp is on so i really doubt theres any problem with that.
ive been watering twice a day and after 10 days or so i sprayed kelpak on them

when i first noticed problems there was this discoloring between the veins and light color of the new growth so i thought it could be nitrogen defficency so i sprayed and watered with a nitrogen rich nutrient solution, and i moved the lamp further up from where it was since the tallest plant had a couple of tips burnt, and i was suspecting the lights were to blame, but now i see the lowest plant has that too and also these spots you see in the pictures, plus the lamp is pretty cool and has a glass casing so i think its not heat problems and im leaning towards mg deff or nutrient burn so i really do not know what to do, any help would really be appreciated!

there could be a over fertilization prob;lem here but i think you have overwatered. You said your temps are low snd youve been watering twice a day, that is too much. The idea is to water the plant when the soil dries out, or right before the plant starts to wilt. Your roots are not recieving enough oxygen because they are so water logged pics 4 and 5 are evidence of over watering they leaves curling that way. This process causes the plant to not be able to take in any nutes, let the soil dry out between watering.

the rams horn curling is most likely too much N and overwatering, and the white cups arn't helping anything either, use dark containers or mold could form from the light going through the cup.

hi guys

thanks huge thanks for pointing me in the right direction, hopefully the plants will improve now, ive cut some black plastic bags and wrapped them around the white cups to be sure no light gets in and ill be watchful of overwatering, my original plan was to give them say 30 days in the cups and then transfer them to a larger plastic bag or pot, i have some that id guesstimate are around 2 gallons, but ill have to give some more time to recover if they do, i suppose.

this is how they looked today, no great change for better or worse im afraid, not been watered 24hrs and ill see how they are tmw morning to start watering again, distilled water.

im still very curious about why one plant has the leaves curled upwards and other two have them curling downwards, anyone know what could cause that or is that nothing to care about?

hi greenthumb, i have no hygrometer but i was looking on the web and it seems the humidity outside is 87% and i dont think its that different inside.
i put a thermometer where the plants are and now during the night it is 68 degrees. i also tested the runoff water and it seems to be at 6,5ph.
a friend of mine who grows edibles will stop by tomorrow and measure n/p/k to get a better idea of whats going on.

Those pots are too small for the size of your plants. Repot into some larger pots with good drainage and they should take off.
I also can't see any drain holes in your pots?

thats way too high a humidity for healthy growth, your probably going to need a dehumidifier, might be a big part of whats going on.
