Problems blooming

Whats up everyone..... I'm a new member..... New to growing for the most part... I'm growing hydro under a 1000 watt light in a closet... I have a cool tube to deal with the heat. I'm just about ready to bloom. The problem is that I am nervous that I will hurt my plants because of my lack my of expireince. Most books would make it seem straight forward enough... Ive read up on it a little. A lot of the material I have read is too general. No info on troubleshooting...To put it short...I just dont know how to go about solving a lot of the problems that may occur when blooming. I'm hoping that someone could help me out.... Give me a heads up on specific problems... What the problem could be, how to identify that problem, and some tips on how to correct it.
That would help me sleep a whole lot better @ night....lol

Much respect

Thanks for the advice guys.

So with time factor working against me I have some....

Big Problems!!!!

I'm growing with two bubble kits for my first grow... I find that its nice and all that but I seem to be having some problems with two of my plants.
I have two 15 gallon containers... Three plants in one and two in the other. The container with the two plants are not growing at the same rate as the others... Plus a few of their leaves are turning yellow on me.
I've checked the PH levels...They seem to be fine... I dont know what eles it could be.
I need some help on this one guys.

Thanks

Yeap stems are green..... I'm thinkin it might be a magnesium ( I probably spelled that wrong...lol) problem... At least thats what my friend told me... He never really told me why.... He just said magnesium... I don't know.
Could someone shed some light on this for me.

Yellowing is usually a lack of nitrogen or over watering. Maybe your bubbler isnt strong enough. I dont know just a guess.

I think youre right, there was not as many bubbles as the other kit.... I cleaned out the tubes and that seem to do it....Theres still not as many bubbles as the other but....A lot more than there was before.

Hi Nightbreed

redish stems are definitley a sign that you need to jump into action..

please post a picture...

Check your PH regularly.. like everyday..

YOU should also consider a complete flush and run staright water PH 5.8 for 12-24 hours... I WOULD DO THIS.. : )

Are your leaves droopy?

Cleaning out the system, and changing the resevoir is always the first thing to do if you suspect trouble. Since your pH is fine, and both trays getting the same nutes, I would look at the light and air. Some lower leaves may yellow when they get shaded out by upper growth, but that usually doesn't happen until several weeks into flowering. Are they getting the same light, are they getting the same air circulation? Do they have air blowing on them constantly?

You probably don't have a very serious problem, but it's good that you are keeping close watch. Reddish colored stems is normal on many varieties, and is genetic. Don't worry about it.

Okay... Here it goes... Some history. I just had a problem about a week and a half ago with my plants....They were under a floresent light for a really long time... They were under that light for so long because I was waiting on my 1000 watt light... I ordered it kinda late as it was. As a result the plants stopped growing.... They werent dying quikly....Just not growing. I flushed both of the containers a little more than a week ago. I put some b1 formula and some enzyme consentrate in with them (as recomended to me) and let them sit for a day. I fed them again about two days after flushing them. They were fine until about three or four days ago... Two of the plants seemed to be not doing so good. So I read up on it a little... Which didn't do much for me because I didnt know what info to look for... So I came to the net... And it brought me here. To be honest.. I must say that I feel a lot better knowing that theres cats on here that will help out as much as they can.

With all that being said.....Should I flush again so soon? And if I do should use the same chemicals (b1 and enzyme) to fix the promlem?

P.S- I know its really hard to help with no pics.... I'm pissing anyone off who cares to help me.... I'm sorry... I need to get a digi cam... Kinda nervous to develop picks of my plants at walmart. I'll get one asap. I'll call my friend tonight and see if he can let me use his one... Its damn important to me that I get those pics for you guys... Thanks for being patient with me.

Be Easy

Yes I do have a fan blowing on the plants on low speed. And the light is pretty much the same for both.

Could it be a temperature thing?

Hi Nightbreed,

Yeah, I would not develop my POT pictures at wallmart either..

DO you have a PPM meter?
I reccomend you drain/refill the reservoir anf leave it at 5.8 for 12-24 hours. Then purchase some hydroponic nutrients (ie- General Hydroponic Nutrients). FOllow the reccomended dosage but keep the PPMs around 500-800.

And of course get a digi camera.. : )

That's a new one to me. Do like Knome said and get some hydroponic solution. That is probably the issue. They just look like a nutrient is missing to me.

Since my last post, my plants have done a 180. They got theyre color back, the root are white as Puff Daddy's big ass front teeth... The problem was (as most of you said) they were not gettin enough nutes. I kept them at the same ratio the whole time......What a dumbass... LMAO!!! I have them Blooming now that they're healthy. I'm just getting throught the first week. The problem is now... Theyre too damn tall. I want to stunt them quikly... Any suggestions?

Alright! Glad to hear they are doing better. You can bend them over. YOu can either tie the tops down with something or you can pinch the stem with your fingers and bend it that way too and you wont need to tie anything. Good luck!

I waited too long to flower mine, and have had to sacrifice about 6" off the top of 2 (out of 5) for the greater good. I started flowering at 10" and now Im up to 40". HA! I got red stems on mine, but seems to be genetic, they are growing like weeds. Sometimes the redness carries down the stems, but always seems to go away when i flush them.

Glad to hear yours are perkin up. Was it lack of nitrogen, or just lack of everything you think?
