Problems with fan

Hi there. so i have a attic fan i was planning on using for a vent fan. the fan has a humistat and thermostat control unit on it.

so when i was testing it i turned the humidistat to the off possision then i noticed the fan comes on when itscold in the room and turns off whens its hot.

is something wired backwards or is this how these damn fans work for attics wich to me doesnt make much sence.

any imput is greatly appreciated. thanks!

if you can tell me how you wired it eg where you connected cables into what terminals? or a picture would be better

it was pre wired all i needed todo was put a 3 prong on it and that was it

were you based is this a uk fan?
